Come join the “original” cable car wine tasting tour through beautiful Napa Valley. Hop aboard one of our hand-built replicas of a San Francisco Cable Car! Every detail, from the all-wooden carriage to the solid brass bell, is an authentic feature right off the original blueprints. This Napa Valley wine trolley tour will be an experience you will never forget. Enjoy endless unobstructed views of vineyard-dotted hills on this special wine-tasting adventure. Visit three or four wineries or tasting lounges and learn all about Napa’s history and wine from your friendly and knowledgeable guide. Lunch is included and will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. Winery stops and lunch stop can change periodically.
This tour picks up at the Oxbow Market 610 1st St, Napa, CA 94559. Meet on the street in front.

Napa Valley Wine Trolley operates “Rain or Shine” year-round. However, if there is a chance of rain, high winds, or unforeseen mechanical problems, we may have to substitute the trolley for a mini-bus. Napa Valley Wine Trolley reserved the right to substitute or change wineries at any time.

Oxbow Public Market
You’ll be picked up at Napa’s Oxbow Market in the late morning for a 6-hour tour on the Napa Valley Wine Trolley, an open-air vehicle modeled after a historic 1890s San Francisco cable car. Enjoy the wind in your air as you take in the beautiful sights and smells of Napa wine country. Your friendly, knowledgeable guide will keep you entertained with commentary and stories about Napa’s history and wine culture.

5.00We had a fantastic time on the Napa Trolley excursion! Paul was an outstanding tour guide—funny, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. We visited four wonderful wineries, each with its own unique charm, and the day was perfectly organized from start to finish. One of the highlights was getting to know the other riders. We made some great new friends and shared lots of laughs along the way. Paul’s humor and local insights made the experience even more enjoyable, and his dinner recommendations were spot on. This excursion was absolutely worth the price and one of the highlights of our Napa trip. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing way to experience Napa wine country, I highly recommend the Napa Trolley!

4.00Overall we had a good time. My sister and I were traveling together, so that was fun too. However, our guide told us his headset wasn’t working, so we didn’t get to hear about the places we passed by. We didn’t know ahead of time which wineries we were going to. We ended up going to 4 wineries, which was great, but each one had a tasting fee (that wasn’t included in our price) that was $40 - $50 per person!! Quite steep when you are going to 4 of them. It was very hot and we were given one bottle of water on the trip. Lunch was lovely at Backstage winery - beautiful farm style table setting and the food was delicious. We were disappointed that we weren’t given or couldn’t buy any other food. By the 4th winery, we could have all used a pice of bread or something!

3.00The guide, Richard, is amazing. Very accommodating, pleasant and adaptable. The trolley was broken so a sprinter van was substituted. The sprinter had mechanical difficulties which led to air conditioning failure so the vehicle experience was uncomfortable. The winery visits were all enjoyable but tasting fees too pricy, especially Monticello for the experience. The other 3 wineries were reasonably acceptable . The lunch food experience needs improvement to offer options. I have done this same tour before with a better experience which is why I opted to do do it with others again. I understand machinery breakdowns occur but the customers should be compensated when the experience is less than acceptable as it is a business’s responsibility to provide the advertised service in comfort. It’s the same song and dance where companies leave the employee to take the hit for their failure to provide the employee what is required for a fully positive and successful customer experience. Thanks to Richard for all your efforts to make the Wine Trolley Tour pleasurable!

4.00Paul our driver was excellent and really got the party going . Monticello was layed back and beautiful gardens. Backstage was fabulous and great lunch and atmosphere. Napa winery was a disappointment reported by many on our tour . Our guide spoke too much and too loud and didn’t keep track of the tastings. She just wanted to get through her talking points. The tasting room was so nice but we couldn’t enjoy the wine while she kept shushing us and rushing.

5.00This was my first trip to Napa, and the trolley tour made it unforgettable. We visited four wineries, tasted some incredible wines, learned about the winemaking process, and even picked up some local Napa history along the way. The lunch provided was surprisingly high‑quality and delicious. Craig was welcoming, personable, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

4.00Had a most beautiful day in Napa riding the Napa Valley Trolley. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable and seemed to be born and raised in the region. The first stop at Monticello was, by far, the best! Laura was our guide and has been with the family for 25 years. Amazing experience. Second stop was meh…guide pretended to have an Italian accent😵💫…lunch was there and pretty good. Third stop was nice because you could do the tasting or have a glass of wine. Fourth was..well we were all tired and a little “happy”! Weather was amazing! The tour provides bottled water as well! Overall would highly recommend!
