Our public tour on our brand new 49 passenger vessel! Meet our Guest Rep at your cruise ship dock and board our courtesy shuttle. Enjoy a scenic ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and return (about 25 minutes each way). A complimentary stop at the Brotherhood Bridge for a view of the Mendenhall Glacier is available before or after each tour depending on that day's schedule and weather. Enjoy the difference of a personalized tour! This 4 hour and 5 minute tour includes approximately 1 hour of round trip transfer time, 2.75 hours of whale watching/sightseeing cruise, walking on the dock to the boat, and bathroom breaks.

We are NOT wheelchair accessible. Our buses and smaller boats do not have ramps to get on board. In addition, our space is very limited. This tour is not recommended for those needing assistance to enter/exit our vessels.

Took my family out on the Harv and Marvs Outback Alaska Public Whale Watch with JLT tour. I was a little worried that we would not see much on this boat given its size (~40-50 people). However, the size of the boat did not keep the whales away and the interior was heated and sheltered (a definite plus on a cold and rainy end of May day). While I know what we saw was good fortune, the driver was adept and new where to take us. We lucked out and saw Orca and had 4 whale breaches next to our boat. It was unbelievable. While this is not the norm, the team knew where to look and how to drive to maximize the experience. The day was too rainy and cloudy and an attempt to see the Mendenhall glacier from miles away proved unsuccessful. However, this was not the reason I signed up for this specific tour as my goal was to see whales - which we did. There was even one in the harbor on the way back in which we were told never happens. I wish I could remember our shipmates (I even asked 2 times) as they were patient, informative, and excited for us to have the experience we did, but with the excitement of the trip, my memory was nonfunctional. However, we had 1 man and one woman with a male captain and it was a 1030AM tour on Wed May 28th.

Tour guides were great, weather was not so great, it was cold and rainy. However, we did see some Whales. So, was all worth it.

Great boat and crew. Very interesting and fun. The narrator did a great job and made iit a fun experience for all. The heated cabin was also a huge plus.

This was an awesome excursion out the Juneau cruise port. We picked this tour based on great reviews and being a great value. It was not booked through the cruise ship but that wasn’t a problem at all. Our day started by being picked up just outside the ship at the end of the gang plank in a modern tour bus. The driver, Chris, gave us an informative ride through town pointing out points of interest along the way to the boat dock. We were greeted by our naturalist, Tess, who narrated our ride out to look for whales. Her extensive knowledge of the wildlife was interesting and informative. Captain Dalton knew exactly where to give us the best views of Humpback Whales with a few more rare surprises along the way (Orcas and Stellar Sea lions). Deckhand Corey kept everyone happy with snacks and drinks included in the adventure. When wildlife was sited, the boat would stop or slow so everyone could go out on the front and back decks to watch and take pictures if desired but there were great views from inside the cabin through large windows. The boat was a very modern vessel with amenities other boats can’t compete with like heated enclosed cabin, comfortable padded seating, large windows and 2 roomy heads (bathrooms). I highly recommend this tour operator!
