Begins either 4:30PM or 5:15PM. Why us? We LIVED this firsthand. Born & raised in Little Italy - or cops who worked the streets here - active and retired/ NYPD Officers. Our “walk with stories” breaks the typical tour company mold of boring facts, repetitive "stops" & irrelevant dates replaced with personal life experiences. Walk the very streets the mafia ruled with a real resident and meet other locals along the way. Plus food included is equivalent to a full 2 course dinner!
Growing up witnessing some of New York’s infamous families and having consulted for TV and major films makes this a unique experience no other company can offer.
Beginning at a famous Mafia "Red Sauce Joint" as seen in Soprano's and "Get Gotti" this experience winds through the East Village & Little Italy visiting notorious Mafia and Crime locations sharing personal true crime stories and eating amazing food from the neighborhood. John’s of 12th Street in NYC has a rich history intertwined with the Italian Mafia. Located in the East Village, this iconic Italian restaurant opened in 1908 and quickly became a popular spot for mobsters12. During Prohibition, it operated as a speakeasy, making wine and whiskey in the basement1. One of the most notorious events associated with John’s was the 1922 assassination of Umberto Rocco Valenti, a Morello family hitman, who was killed there during a "peace meeting". The restaurant’s old-world charm and connection to the Mafia have made it a legendary spot, even featured in shows like Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos We meet inside the back room of this iconic "Red Sauce Joint" for many reasons including the historic relationship to the beginnings of the NYC Mafia

Great tour & insight of what you only usually hear about or watch on the TV. Great meatballs at "Johns" to start off then a tour around the streets by one of the ex NYPD guys who grew up on the streets & surrounding areas. Very knowledgeable. Thanks.

Our guide was very nice and personable. However this was more walking tour than food tour. It was advertised as 3 full size meals over the course of the 3 hour tour. It was not. It started with a nice bowl of pasta and then we walked for 3.5 hours ending with a cannoli. We were disappointed- can’t recommend it to others.

Tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable. However- this should not be advertised as a food tour. This was a walking tour with a meal to start. We started with a meal at the beginning, walked almost 3 hours, then ended with a cannoli. Too long, too little food, and too expensive for what you get.

Really immersive tour , a lot of information about the start of the black hand to the Mafia , going to Johns was going back in time, food was amazing genuine Italian meatballs, had the best time, George who took our tour knew some much about pre war and war time mafia , lots of names we recognised from little Italy as they were famous actors and directors, it also hi lighted Mafia life wasn’t glamorous but ruthless . Would definitely recommend this tour .

Interesting history I knew nothing beforehand so I learned enough that I can now do more research. Little Italy was very nice! Food was really good as well.
