In December Brooklyn’s Dyker Heights neighborhood becomes 1 of NYC’s most enchanting holiday spectacles. Known for extravagant "Dyker Heights Lights," the tradition began in the 1980s & grew in popularity.

A handful of residents began decorating their homes with colorful lights & festive displays, creating a neighborhood tradition that quickly caught attention of others. Over time, the displays became more elaborate as more neighbors joined in some even hiring professional decorators to make their homes stand out.

Dyker Heights turns into a magical holiday wonderland that attracts visitors from all over the world. Spanning 16 blocks, the lights cover large estates & small homes alike, with each residence seemingly outdoing the next.

I received an email telling me I had paid and with a link to July tickets. Clicking on the link repeatedly returned an error message. The meeting point was on the tickets so I did not know where to go and consequently missed the tour. All the help and contact us buttons on the trip advisor/Viator web sites and apps did not work, only taking me to a page where I could book more trips, which I will not be doing.
Don’t waste your money … save it and do a self-guided tour

This was the worst tour experience I have ever had attended. The tour guide was not aware of his surroundings, kept losing members of our group, we would have to yell his name asking where he was, he would start talking before everyone was there - we essentially had someone to show us which streets to walk on - no history, no insights and minimal stops for photos. Please don’t waste your money!

We met in front of an incredible bakery everything was Christmas. Incredible gingerbread cookies. Bonnie was a super tour guide. She told us about the history and navigated us throw to 100's of incredible homes and decorations. I have never seen a whole town turn in Christmas land. It was something very special. It was even more special to actually get to see some of the home owner still putting up deco. Real experience an we even got to talk to one as he first turned on the lights for the season. I totally recommend.

The tour guide never showed up. We waited over an hour and they never showed. Instructions were clear, tour time at 6pm, be there 15 minutes before. We were at the meeting spot over 30 minutes before and waited until 6:30pm. Waist of time and money. We had a Lyft take us to the spot, spent almost $200 just to get there for nothing.
