A wonderful day in Ninh Binh with Duke (Duc)

5.00If you’re heading to Ninh Binh from Hanoi - choose this tour and ask for Duke as a guide. Firstly, the itinerary is customisable - there are options to choose from. We chose Trang An - Hang Mua - Hoa Lu and was a great combo. At Trang An there are 3 routes to choose from - we chose 1 (longest with 9 caves) and were so pleased we did - stunning scenery and geology. We then headed to Hang Mua - bring comfortable shoes for the climb! There are 2 branches once you get to the middle of the stairs - the left side steps were less rugged and the views from the top were spectacular. Don’t miss the walk across the lotus farm walkway afterwards (June/July flowering season). Vietnamese lunch included was a notch above some tours we have had in the past. Duke arranged hire bikes for us after lunch for a scenic ride through the paddy fields and we finished the day with a visit to the Buffalo King (first King) temple in the original capital of Hoi An. Throughout the tour, Duke was informative, friendly with a great sense of humour. Would highly recommend the tour and ask for Duke!

5.00Dinh is an absolutely incredible host! We felt so cared for and considered on this day trip — it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had and well beyond worth the price. He was so personable, friendly and considerate all day on our private tour (2 people), and his photography skills are phenomenal. We saw so many exclusive sights and he really knows the area so well. His tour is great for folks who want a lot of curated photos. He even took us to an extra stop at a beautiful festival to help me find a specific souvenir I’d been searching for my entire trip! If you are wanting to see Ninh Binh from the most authentic point of view, booking with Dinh is undeniably the best option out there!

5.00Huie is an amazing human being. He is personable and welcoming. You can tell he is a hard worker because he practices his English and other skills on his off time to make sure he delivers the best experience for his guests. His english is excellent so you can really learn a lot and converse with him and actually just connect naturally. Bonus is he is also great at taking pictures.

5.00We had such an amazing time with Hieu on our private tour of Ninh Binh. He was so flexible with every aspect of the tour. He basically custom made an itinerary based off what we were interested in doing. He was an incredible photographer as well, capturing so many pictures of our group. His English is amazing and he is HILARIOUS. Book this tour with him, you won’t regret it.
Lucky for us Hieu was our guide!

5.00We enjoyed a truly perfect day with Hieu as our guide. We had booked the sampan boat sailing along Ngo Dong river - Hieu suggested we consider in addition a bike ride through the rice paddies .. . such an excellent suggestion. We enjoyed ' Halong bay on land' and especially since Hieu steered us away from the tourist crowds on the bike and in the sampan boats ! WOW! Also the many hilarious photos ! Hieu explained Vietnamese culture along with the history of Ninh Binh ... so interesting. THANK YOU Hieu.... you made our Ninh Binh experience so special and we will definitely tell our friends. 5.00We had the most amazing private day tour to Ninh Binh with Hieu from Pegasus Vietnam Tours—it was truly the highlight of our honeymoon. From the start, everything was seamless. We were picked up right on time in a clean, comfortable, and luxurious private car. The entire experience was fully customizable, which we really appreciated. Hieu thoughtfully planned our itinerary around our preferences (and the heat!), making sure we enjoyed each stop at the best possible time. We visited Mua Caves, Tam Coc, and Hoa Lu, and every moment felt well-paced and stress-free. Hieu is incredibly knowledgeable and speaks excellent English, which made everything easy and enjoyable. He’s also such a warm, friendly person—very easy to talk to and clearly passionate about what he does. One unexpected highlight: Hieu is an amazing photographer! He knew all the best photo spots and even made sure to get great shots of us before we climbed up and got all sweaty. We now have so many beautiful photos to remember the day. He also took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch—delicious food and, importantly, great air conditioning after a long day of biking and exploring. Having a private tour made all the difference. The flexibility, comfort, and personalized attention were absolutely worth it. We never felt rushed and could truly enjoy each moment. We would 100% book with Hieu again and highly recommend him to anyone visiting Vietnam.
