As someone who grew up in Boston’s North End, I’ll take you through the neighborhood the way locals experience it. You’ll visit a mix of historic institutions and under-the-radar spots, meeting the people and traditions behind the food.
Along the way, you’ll hear personal stories of growing up Italian in Boston—stories that bring the neighborhood to life in a way no guidebook can.
Expect a variety of tastings such as pizza, pasta, arancini, meats, cheeses, and pastries from some of the North End’s most beloved spots.

Learn about the festivals, events, and traditions that contribute to its lively atmosphere. We will capture the essence of community celebrations and the warmth that permeates the area and unveil lesser-known gems within Little Italy – charming alleyways, art installations, or tucked-away spots that offer a more intimate experience. We will venture off the beaten path to the mom and pop shops that are still a big part of this neighborhood and we will provide practical advice for those planning a visit to the North End’s Little Italy, including the best times to explore, recommended dishes to try, and any upcoming events. I’m a lifelong local and guide all tours.

5.00Touring the North End with Bobby who grew up there was fantastic. He knows the history, restaurants, shops and people from lived experience. The restaurants and shops he took us to were top notch, and all of the food was outstanding. Book this tour, you won't be sorry!

5.00Walking the streets with Bobby, who grew up in the area, made this tour extra interesting. He knew the stories behind the buildings and the businesses. The food was fabulous, make sure to save room for the cannoli at the last stop!

5.00This was my second time on Bobby’s tour & it was just as good as the first time. Food & drinks were fantastic plus Bobby’s stories really bring to life what it was like growing up in the North End. Listening to Bobby you know you are listening to someone who has lived the experiences he talks about. Some tours are run by guides who have learned a script, but not this one. Bobby has a genuine passion for where he lives, it’s people & its food. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough.
