All around good experience. The Ice Museum was literally ‘cool’, topped off with an Appletini. We had a nice meal at the lodge. The hot springs were awesome! Finished off with multiple views of the Northern Lights. We were able to go in and out of the activity center when watching the lights, which kept us from getting really cold.

This was one of the worst things I have ever paid for. The tour was not delivered as advertised. There was no mention of a dinner planned so I ate before hand. There was no mention we would see an ice museum, which I have seen before. Dinner took almost 2.5 hours, which left only about 1 hour for the hot springs. Then to boot, we did not leave the resort to "chase" the lights. We stayed at a "viewing room" which had a huge van parked in front of one of the two windows so you couldn't see outside. The viewing room had nails and garbage on the floor and was filthy. We stayed at the viewing room for 2 hours and there wasn't even coffee made for us (there was instant). Waste of money and would not recommend to anyone. Honestly, I would like my money back, as I could have driven to the resort, sat in the hot springs and looked at the lights from the parking lot all in about 3 hours. Waste! Terrible! The driver also didn't talk about anything nor was helpful in what to expect.

Savvy was a great tour guide. She had lot of knowledge for the short amount of time she has been in Alaska. She answered every question that was asked and also gave us information on how to know when the northern lights will be at their best. The only downfall is the van. So uncomfortable for the drive there and back.

Great experience, Savvy was very friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was unfortunately cloudy so we didn’t get to see the aurora but we still enjoyed the tour.

Our tour guide Savvy was sweet, knowledgeable and honest about what to expect with the Northern lights. It is obvious she loves Alaska and she loves her job. The sky is full of clouds, but that’s not her fault. She made this tour very enjoyable. Highly recommend 🥰

The event was cancelled when the number of people could not gather on the morning. Transferring to another tour on the day is very difficult. I know it's not profitable, but at least I'd like to see a little bit more judgment. He said he would introduce me to a personal tour that would take me there, but eventually he told me he couldn't take me there, and when I was looking for other people, he replied several times, but it faded away. I ended up wasting my day. The Chena Hot Springs website provided information on shuttle buses that could be operated if booked at least 72 hours in advance. They don't take me anywhere else, but I wish I'd left them here. For two or more people, a one-way cab costing $150 to $200 isn't hard, but a one-person cab is tough.

Savvy is the best guide I've ever had, and I've been on a lot of tours. She gave us options of how we could spend the evening. She is very knowledgeable about Alaska too. First we went to the ice museum which was a nice and great place for photos. Great place to be served an apple Martini in ice which you can smash at the entrance while making a wish. Then with Savvy's recommendations, we went to dinner and the salmon there was fantastic. After dinner we all headed to the hot springs. I was there for about an hour to hour and a half, which I think is reasonable time to spend there before getting cooked. I liked that they are real hot springs and not a glorified hot tub. After that Savvy did her best to help us seek out some Aurora lights based off weather predictions. 10/10 recommend and if Savvy is your guide then you're super lucky!!
