• Overall, a safe and worthwhile experience...

  I have rated this Aqua Kyara Okinawa, 5 stars. But in truth, it was a very creditable 4 star experience. So why the discrepancy in my marking, you ask? 1. I had booked a Blue Cave snorkel with private guide and pictures, but wasn't informed until I turned up having travelled from Chatan, that this was no longer possible, allegedly due to the weather conditions. 2. I was then offered an alternative experience elsewhere in the ocean (?), but obviously nowhere near Blue Cave. 3. Price for a solo visitor was inflated above that, than a couple would have paid separately. Understandable, but us solo travellers always seem to have to pay a premium., just for being solo. 4. I'm English, and Lord do I wish I spoke other languages, but sadly I do not. There were clear issues with translation between myself and all others at the centre. Not their fault, but mine. Nevertheless, I felt especially separated from this special event when witnessing the interaction between the other members of the boat crew, and their tourists, who could speak some Japanese. It was, what it was... 5. I hadn't expected to actually walk in a wet suit to our boat along a main road with traffic. Not that far, just a strange request from a dive shop having dived and snorkelled in lot's of places. 6. I was fortunate to be the sole 'pupil', of my carer (lol!), who cared very well for me and ensured I was safe at all times when snorkelling. This is important, as safety is everything when emersed in an environment you can't actually survive in I.e., the sea. 5. Finally, I had some issues with obtaining the pics procured by my 'carer', on the day. Aqua Kyara, didn't ignore my requests for help, but responded near immediately. And they responded repeatedly! Outstanding after sales service, and really, really appreciated! And that's where the fifth star comes from. Furthermore, I was even able to refer a new found friend to them who had a fear of enclosed spaces, so requested exactly the same open water area I had been taken to. So, how nice is that as a Quid Pro Quo? Finally, I've also received a number of text messages from them to wish me Happy Christmas & Happy New Year. Now, I deal with Customer Service in my own world, and I just love that. Thank you. :-)

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• A Wonderful Snorkelling Experience!

  Operator communicated very clearly with us and we could locate the meeting place easily. Blue Cave, which is just 7 mins away from mainland by boat, is so easily accessible. Tom (our guide) is very friendly and took good care of us (group of 3 seniors). Package includes fish food for us to feed the fishes during the snorkeling. We immediately caught the magical experience of fishes flocking to us! Tom also brought a torchlight to show us schools of fishes that were "sleeping", showed us photo spots and took photos & video for us, which we do appreciate, although photo quality can be better. Wonderful snorkeling experience!

  This was a great experience. All of the staff were wonderful, my guide walked me every step of the way and he took so many wonderful pictures. When we got back there were showers to get cleaned up and changed. I really enjoyed my trip and would defiantly do this again.

  I had a fantastic time snorkeling in the Blue Cave. We saw an impressive variety of fish, and my guide helpfully pointed many of them out by name. The contrast of light and shadow inside the cave, especially when looking back toward the entrance, was truly magical. The experience exceeded my expectations. The outfitter was highly safety-conscious, and I had a guide all to myself. I really appreciated the beautiful photos they shared afterward. The only aspect I could have done with a bit less of was the frequent posing for pictures—it’s just not my cup of tea. Overall, a wonderful and memorable trip.

  We were not able to go to the Blue Cave due to weather conditions, but we still had a great snorkel. Our guide explained all the fish names and took fabulous pictures and videos that was airdropped to us right after the tour.

  Great time highly recommend! The tour company looked out for our safety, even though we couldn’t go to Blue Cave because of the Sea conditions, we still had a great time!

  One of the best snorkeling experiences I’ve ever had! I highly recommend going with this company — the staff were absolutely wonderful with us! They gave us the best experience possible and helped us feel a little closer to Okinawan culture. A big thank-you to Hibiki, who made the experience even more special with his great energy!   Due to rough wave, we didn't make it to Blue Cave, we considered to cancel the reservation but we are glad we didn't. We had a wonderful experience in a safe spot. All equipment was provided and saw a lot of beautiful fish. The guide was and the staff at the shop was very attentive and helpful. We highly recommend it!
