Your first certification is a license to learn more! Performance-based, after this course you will have the knowledge and skills to plan and execute a dive to a maximum of 18 meters with a certified buddy.
Day 1 - Academics + Diving
Meet your instructor, fellow students and start the first academic session. Short break for lunch before jumping into your confined skills session for the afternoon.
Day 2 - Academics + Diving Skills
Start academic session in the morning before heading for the afternoon boat for confined water training skills dives 1 and 2 with a maximum depth of 12m at 2 different dive sites around Koh Tao.
Day 3 - Diving + Exam
Enjoy 2 dives at a maximum depth of 18 meters, which is the maximum allowed for an open water diver! On some of the best dive sites around Koh Tao, last day is purely fun diving, no training, no exercises, just diving! After completing your last 2 dives we will be doing the final exam at the school!

5.00I completed my Open Water diving course and I’m so happy and grateful that Kat and Yeray were my instructors. They truly did an amazing job! I struggled a lot in the beginning and often felt panicked while diving, but they helped me overcome my fear and were incredibly kind and patient with me. Not once did I feel like they were annoyed, even though I needed a lot of time to understand each skill. I highly recommend this dive school and I’m very thankful that I had the chance to learn how to dive there. I will definitely come back in March to do my Advanced course with them.

5.00The team at Koh Tao Scuba Club are professional, fun, and fantastic instructors. Originally signed up for the open water diving certification and then chose to complete the advanced open water certification with KTSC. The daily lunch provided was delicious, and the complimentary tea and pineapple between dives helped with energy and hydration. Our group had Nui as our instructor and he was fantastic. Very happy to have received my scuba certifications through Koh Tao Scuba Club!

5.00I was so nervous to scuba dive but knew it would be something I’d regret if I didn’t do it. We found Koh Tao Scuba Club and their communication put us at ease before we even met them. Oni our instructor was amazing, he kept us calm and gave us all the knowledge we needed. We had the best time thanks to Oni!

5.00I had an amazing time at the koh tao scuba club, out instructor Ae was super patient with us and explained everything really detailed and perfectly so that we felt super safe all the time and could enjoy our time underwater. It was an amazing 3 days and if I do the advanced course I will definetly come back to this diving school!

5.00Everything about the course was very good. It was organised very well with everything from hotel drop off/pick up, equipment etc. Ae was an excellent instructor who explained everything very well and helped us stay calm. I felt very safe diving with her and it was such a cool experience.

5.00Safari has been an incredible teacher where he taught the basics of scuba diving in a pool and open water session. Zoe was freat during the fun dive where she repeated all the basics and ensured that everyone was safe and had fun.
