Srirangapatnam Fort

It is a rocky island formed by the Cauvery River, which made it a militarily and religiously significant town. Srirangapatna came into prominence during the rise of Hyder Ali and his famed son Tipu Sultan, who converted it into a fortified city. It was the power center of South India for a long time, before Tipu Sultan lost the last of the four battles against the British East India Company. Mysuru Palace

The Palace was the seat of the Wodeyar Maharajas, who ruled the kingdom from 1399 to 1950. The palace you see today was built in 1912 after a fire destroyed the first palace. In the palace you will see the extravagant opulence and fine details of the interior. Admire the paintings, elaborate architecture, the intricately carved rosewood doors, mosaic floors and stained glassed windows. Sri Nandi Temple

Brindavana Gardens
