These conditions include, but are not limited to, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart problems, lung problems, ear problems, high or low blood pressure, current cough, cold or flu, chronic sinus conditions, fainting or seizures, plus the use of prescription medication including those used for the treatment of anxiety and depression. The minimum age for scuba diving in Queensland is 12 years

Scuba Diving in Queensland; prescription medication and certain medical conditions, both past and present, will preclude you from scuba diving in Queensland without a Queensland Dive Medical. These conditions include, but are not limited to, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart problems, lung problems, ear problems, high or low blood pressure, current cough, cold or flu, chronic sinus conditions, fainting or seizures, plus the use of prescription medication including those used for the treatment of anxiety and depression.

Scuba divers must allow 18 hours between their last dive and a flight. You cannot participate in scuba diving if you plan to travel by air within 24 hours of your trip. This includes participating in sky diving activities.

The crew on board passions were entertaining, caring and seemed to really love what they do and working with each other. Even thought it was a rough day and lots of people were sick I saw lots of attention and care for everyone on board. The snorkelling spots were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thanks to the passions crew.

Good evening, I took a cruise with Passions of Paradise on 27th April, 2025. I had booked for snorkeling and scuba for 2 people, under the name Shivangi and Khushi. Khushi, my sister, had a few issues with respect to being able to dive effectively and hence couldn't proceed with it. I fully understand your policy of non-refund for scuba once in the water, but due to such circumstances, I had less time for scuba than what was intended. So, what was intended to be a 30 minute dive was only for 10 minutes. I had booked a cruise with Passions of Paradise with a lot of trust because it was a great experience the first time in 2019. If the crew already knew that the time for scuba would be less, it should have been conveyed and the time should have been compensated in the second dive.

We did snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef as a family and it was one of the best experiences of our lives. We were guided by Libby and she ensured that we were comfortable and safe throughout the experience. As a non swimmer I can definitely confirm that the experience was truly rewarding. The staff at Passions of Paradise were incredibly knowledgeable and ensured we had a safe and fun experience. Once again a big thank you to Libby without whose help we would not have had such an amazing time at the reef. We were also lucky to spot a reef shark! We also learnt a lot about the reef and bleaching of the reef through the marine presentation and how the reefs can actually recover after bleaching. Great experience and must try for anyone visiting Cairns!

First off, WOW! What an experience! I am a non-swimmer and I was very nervous about snorkeling. I read the reviews from other non-swimmers and decided to give it a try. Everyone put on a wetsuit to protect against jellyfish (there were none) and a floatation waste band. There were 4 of us assigned to our amazing guide, Harry. He belted 2 lifesaver rings together and the 4 of us held onto the rings, our faces in the water and Harry pulled us around the reef. The view was amazing!! We saw coral of many colors, fish of every size and color, starfish in bright blue and green. There was a white tipped shark in the area. No turtles. We snorkeled for about 1 hr and then came in for a delicious lunch and they boated us to another location on the reef. We then were able to snorkel for about another hour. My guide Harry was great, gave us a running commentary on what we were seeing and always checked to make sure we were feeling comfortable. He even dove down to a giant clam, waved his hand over it so we could see it close up! All I can say as a non-swimmer, who is afraid of the water, I had the most amazing time and saw things that I never thought I would or could! HOLY CRAP! I SNORKELED THE GREAT BARRIER REEF!!
