Take in the spectacular Phillip Island Penguin Parade as you watch the colony of Little Penguins crosses the shoreline from the ocean. Heading out to Penguin Parade, we begin our day at a Koala Reserve to meet some furry Australian favourites. Take a tour and get up close and personal with our native Australian wildlife. Travel to Phillip Island Nature Parks, known for its natural beauty, sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and unique wildlife experiences. The island is home to a colony of around 32,000 little penguins. Phillip Island Tour is one of the popular and must-watch tourist attractions in Victoria.

No photography or filming is permitted at the Penguin Parade. Penguins have sensitive eyes and a bright, sudden flash or unusual light can frighten or disorientate a penguin.

Child and infant fare prices apply from 0 to 12 years old. Child protective seats are free of charge, subject to availability and must be requested at time of booking.

Limited storage space on our vehicle, baggage kept to 1 x 5-7kg day bag per person. Our vehicles are not wheelchair, prams or child stroller accessible please refrain from bring on tour.

At the Koala Conservation Centre on Phillip Island, guests will have 45 minutes to explore the lush surroundings and stroll along the elevated boardwalks that wind through the treetops. Here, you’ll have the chance to get up close to koalas in their natural habitat, spotting these iconic creatures as they rest in the eucalyptus trees. The knowledgeable staff will provide fascinating insights into the conservation efforts that protect these beloved animals. Tomcat (Tom) was so nice and accommodating. He was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed him as our host! He also gave us a great recommendation for dinner in Cowes!

Overall a fun but long day to see the fairy penguins. Guide was patient and capable. However, we could not hear him over the speaker system on the bus as it was muffled so we missed a great deal of the interesting stories and information related to our itinerary. Details for this excursion could have been better improved on the website, such as time when we would be stopping for lunch. The website just stated lunch on own.

Very enjoyable. Guide was informative and engaging. Nothing beats seeing the penquins in theri natural habitat. the koala conservation was also wonderful.

We had the best time on our tour with Craig. The pick up spot was convenient, the bus comfortable, the stops in Phillip Island gorgeous, and the penguin parade more fun than I expected (and I had high expectations). When we booked, we hadn’t realized the trip wouldn’t get us back to Melbourne until midnight (we went on the summer solstice). Had we realized, we might have thought harder about booking the tour for the day of our arrival to Australia from the US. But, even on the heels of a 24 hour travel day and without much sleep, the trip kept us engaged and moving and really got our Australian adventure off to a great start.

What a wonderful day! We saw koalas in their natural habitat. Next we enjoyed amazing views of the Nobbies and ended the day with the incredible penguin experience. I highly recommend splurging for the Plus tickets which get you so close to witnessing the penguins emerge from the water and make their way past you as the waddle down the path in search of their babies. Kiwi was a fabulous driver and guide, sharing so much insight along the way. Viator never disappoints!

Kiwi was a great tour guide. The tour was well organized with plenty of stops for photo opportunities. The koalas animal sanctuary was amazing how close we were able to view the koalas. The penguin parade highlight of the evening was worth the wait!!

If you come in on a cruise ship be aware you are dropped off in the city when most of the transportation ends at midnight. Unless you’re lucky enough to get a friendly driver to drop you at port you are on your on your return. The scenery to Phillips Island was beautiful. Our driver had no commentary for the first of 2 hours we drove while we spoke with others who traveled on a sister bus and their driver shared a lot of information Also the bus microphone had a lot of static so was very hard to hear. If you are totally doing it for the Penquin viewing reconsider. We went in January and it was very cold and we maybe saw 12 come out of the water. The trip for us was a disappointment and we love Viator tours but I don’t recommend Todd one. .
