  I knew I wanted to take my family (kids 6, 11 & 13) on a day trip to Pompeii. I was a bit hesitant at this price point, but wow this was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Our driver Claudio and guide Maria were fantastic, the tour van was new and clean, and this was just the right mix of seeing Pompeii, having a relaxing gourmet lunch and seeing a bit of Naples. We had a way better experience than in a large group bus - it made the day really special. Spoil your family and book this tour.

  Fabulous experience! Marie & Max were a great guide & driver pair. Itinerary was excellent. Loved the convenience of hotel drop off & pick up. We learned so much about Pompeii. The winery experience is fabulous.

  Firstly, the highlight was the driving. Antoinette was eccentric and lively; however 30 mins into the drive she shared that she had had a change in her medication and therefore often could not remember where she was and that she could not stand for long, which would had been fine if she was not giving the walking tour later in the day..which was less than an hour and she enlightened us that it was because of our 5 minute bathroom break that the tour was belayed. Hector was our Pompeii guide. While knowledgeable he confessed to being sick and this was apparent when snot and leakage was running down his face. If you are sick please do not be so negligent as to put the tourists at risk and stay home and recover. Overall the tour should have been given by other guides who were well enough to provide the experience advertised instead of simply going through the motions.

  Really nice tour. My son and I were picked up at our hotel in Rome in a comfortable mini van with a driver a tour guide and one other couple. Pleasant ride to Pompeii and a full 2 hour guided tour with a seperate guide through the Pompeji archeological site. My only complaint with the Pompeii tour was that the tour guide did not make time for the gift shop. We were then picked up by our original guide and taken to a wonderful lunch at Cantina Vesuvio winery, which turned out to be a great tour and lunch with high quality wine tasting. I loved all their rose and white wines, and great cuisine overlooking the winery and mountains. After the lunch we were taken for a casual 2 hr ride and walk through Naples and the Bay of Napoli which was phenomenal. Back in Rome before 6pm. Great day trip away from Rome, well worth the cost.

  This was a nice experience, but I expected a little more, given what we paid for it. There were two guys in the van: a driver who talked to the other guy the whole time. And he was swerving all over the road. It was crazy. I come from a place with terrible drivers and this was a little scary. The other guy (Joseph) was nice but I'm not 100% sure why there had to be two tour people (in addition to the Pompeii, local guide). Pompeii was great. Anna Sophia was a great local guide. I wish we could have spent more time there. The winery experience was pretty average. We were greeted with some pretty good bubbles and had a quick tour. Then it was time to eat. I was excited and hungry. The food was pretty underwhelming, as was the wine. Given the cost of this tour I expected something a little more substantial. The Naples leg of the trip was pretty hectic and unbelievably crowded. It wasn't all that pleasant, and I thought at least we would get some pizza from the birthplace of PIZZA! We did not. Maybe it was because it was so nuts there. The lines were extremely long for the places we saw. We just walked around and were shown museums and palaces that we couldn't go into. Kinda weird. Not exactly what I expected.
