IMPORTANT INFORMATION REQUIRED FROM ALL PASSENGERS: You MUST provide all passenger names at the time of booking in order to visit Mount Vesuvius or you may be refused entry.

During summer months in rare cases of inclement weather or strikes, the crater of Vesuvius may be closed to visitors, therefore, if this is the case, it is replaced with a visit to Positano where you will get free time to explore the city.

Option to upgrade to Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and Positano Small-Group Day Trip from Rome with private coach (Mt Vesuvius or Naples not included)

For Vesuvius Option: if you have any dietary restrictions, please inform us at the time of booking and remind your guide on the day of your tour.

Children under the age of 18 might be requested to show their ID card at the entrance of the site, so please bring it with you on the tour

The hike up to the crater of Vesuvius requires a good level of general fitness. The walk is uphill at a 14 degree angle and takes roughly 20 minutes.

Favio (not sure if I spelled it correctly) and Caesar were the best. Caesar is one of the best drivers around. Favio was funny and knowledge and answered all our questions with a smile.
Great tour, wirh some twist and turns.

It was wonderful!! enjoyed the entire trip.Flavio and Ceazer were outstanding and I would recommened this trip although a long day .It was well worth iy.

Tour guides were very responsive, patient and accomodated all our requests! The bus was on time early in the morning and they tried to stick to schedule as much as possible. We went on the first Sunday of the month and that was the free admission day to all attractions in Italy. So, there was a long line to enter Pompeii which delayed the overall plans for the day. The tour operator made an extra stop at a limoncello store on the way back, this was not mentioned in the itinerary and we didn't really care for it. We could have saved some time avoiding that stop and gotten back to Rome earlier. Apart from that, all arrangements were great! Patrizia and Ava from City Wonders were great tour guides👍

Great day spent with Flávio our guide and some great driving by Luca Really friendly and informative and our guide in Pompeii berny was great also A great day spent with very nice people and a must see for anyone visiting Rome

We had an amazing experience on the day trip to Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii! Our tour guide, Flavio, was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history of the area. He brought the trip to life with fascinating insights and made the day both informative and engaging. Our driver, Luca, was also fantastic, navigating the narrow, winding roads up to Vesuvius with impressive skill and keeping everything running smoothly. This excursion was a highlight of our trip, and we would highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, archaeology, or just an unforgettable day out in southern Italy.
