  What a great experience. The transportation from Lvai was as advertised. The Ponton restaurant and swim location was amazing. It's a floating platform with great snorkeling right around it. The food was fresh, complete and really good. The staff was really friendly and spoke good english.

  Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Food was lovely 10/10 , just a shame we didn’t get to swim as the weather wasn’t ideal.

  Service wasn’t the best, false advertising with the activities on the water, language barrier, food wasn’t the best and not a large variety especially for children and fussy eaters. 12yr olds are classed as adults so we had to pay extra for his food that he didn’t even eat because he didn’t like it.

  My son 8 years old and myself had the best day! The fish were magnificent! Lots of fluro colours. Nemo and parrot fish. The service was good and we made it there and back to the cruise terminal in time Highly recommend this trip

  

  

  

  

• A tourists must do!

  This excursion is one of the few that I would give a 100% "must do" review for. The price was fully inclusive of being picked up from our hotel, driven to the beach to board a transfer speed boat for a 10 minute ride to the pontoon, welcome drink, seafood platter, dessert and coffee and then return to our hotel. The staff were amazing...so friendly and welcoming. On the pontoon, you can go to the enclosed underwater viewing or swim, snorkel from the area on the pontoon, explore the reef while snorkelling our relax on the two platforms beside the pontoon. There's a bar to buy drinks from when you eat. The pontoon is fully covered so that you are not in the sun and it has toilet facilities on board. I would do this again when I came back to Noumea.

  

  

  

  

  

• Not what I expected

  Perhaps I was unlucky, but my experience on this tour was not what I’d expected. It started with the bus operator giving me the wrong information about where the tour commenced, then failing to collect me. Fortunately, a very helpful woman at the Tourism Office called the bus operator and - after three separate conversations - managed to get somebody to pick me up. The experience on the pontoon was reasonable. The staff were very friendly and the scenery was great. The pontoon itself is old and tired, but the lounges and deck chairs were comfortable and there was a good selection of shady and sunny spaces. The underwater walkway is pretty small and there were only a couple of fish to see. I did go swimming in the water, but there were no turtles - just a few more fish. The food servings were more than ample and quite tasty, but some of the dessert samples were dry and my pot of tea was cold. I was told by the bus operator that at the end of the tour I’d be collected on the shore at 4 pm. When I got to the pontoon, the staff advised that I’d be returning at 2 pm. Again, fortunately, one of the staff contacted the operator to change my pick-up time. I can’t say I felt that this tour represented value for money, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

  What an amazing day! Short bus ride from cruise terminal, then short tinny ride to Pontoon. We've never had such an amazing seafood lunch...& we're from Qld! Such friendly & welcoming staff, could not have had a better day. Snorkelling was the absolute best, loads of fish & we even saw a turtle.
