Prickly Pear is an uninhabited cay located 6 miles off the mainland of Anguilla. Enjoy the 16 mile all-inclusive motor-sail to Prickly Pear with our 65 foot sail catamaran for snorkeling, swimming and lunch. On the way home, enjoy a refreshing dip off Mead's Bay before the ride home. Pristine white sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters at Prickly Pear & Mead's Bay will take your breath away on this day sail. Prickly Pear is located 16 miles from St Maarten and about 6 miles from the mainland of Anguilla. The motor sail to Prickly Pear takes about an hour and 45 minutes. These outer laying cays as the locals refer to them belong to Anguilla. Prickly Pear boasts turquoise waters and powdery white sand, just like the beaches on the mainland of Anguilla. Check in 8am on the marina of the Simpson Bay Resort with valid passports. Check ins close at 8:35am in order to clear immigration.

5.00Amazing experience: the customer service is top tier. More than worth the price I paid. They’re on top of it as they called me to confirm my reservation and helped me find the right location. Smooth boarding price and truly ongoing snacks and drinks. Safety is their #1 priority and they did an excellent job keeping to that.

5.00Staff is extremely attentive. Food was delicious. Succulent ribs and BBQ chicken, potato salad, rice and beans, macaroni salad and caesar salad. Unlimited cocktails. Tuna and turkey sandwiches offered about an hour into the trip. Lunch served mid trip. Bathrooms not the best but it’s a boat. To be expected. We left from Bobby’s pier. Be aware, public bathroom there costs $1.00. Highly recommend.

1.00If you want a 6 hour boat tour where you can drink as much cheap alcohol as you want without any real substance to the boat tour, this trip is for you. On our particular outing in November 2025, we were unable to stop at Prickly Pear which was the entire marketing of the trip. The reason was that the swell and waves were too high making it dangerous. However, the Captain and Crew sailed us all the way there to “determine” that fact, even though with modern technology and the ability to communicate with others on the island, including other boats in the vicinity, this was a fact that was surely already known to Aquamania. If we had been advised of this fact ahead of embarking, I assume there would have been passengers who would have chosen to forfeit the trip for a partial refund, including us. To make up for this, we had an hour or so long “snorkeling/swim/lunch/drinking” stop in front of a heavily Irma damaged resort which is no longer operating, and is extremely dilapidated. One crew member transferred via dinghy travelers who didn’t want to snorkel to the abandoned beach in front of the resort - a beach with no services, no shade, and only remnants of the damaged resort to explore (if you took your shoes). Our second stop was at Rendezvous Beach where there are 3 beach bars, two of which are popular and trendy, but of course, we anchored in front of the oldest and worst of the three for an hour and fifteen minutes to do as we please. The rest of the time (roughly 5 hours) was spent motoring to and from Anguilla waters on very uncomfortable seats, with nothing but loud music and the aforementioned cheap alcohol as entertainment. In sum, this was a only a “booze cruise” and should not be marketed as an actual adventure, much less an adventure for families.

5.00This was a lovely experience. The captain of the ship was delightful. He made us very comfortable and kept everyone informed and safe. The crew was terrific. . The boat was very clean. This was such a pleasant boat experience. The food was very very good. The Lambada and crew is the experience you’re looking for.

5.00We had an amazing time spending the day with Captain Ron and crew. The sights were incredible, the food and drinks were all good, we saw a lot of fish and wildlife snorkeling. The crew is very attentive fun and knowledgeable. I will take this excursion again when I come back.
Great Prickley Pear trip. Great crew.

5.00Excellent trip. Crew was fun, the drinks were good (even had a good , oaky Chardonnay in the bar!) Everyone had a good time. Crew knew their business - safety was clearly a focus item.

5.00We had a great experience on Lambada! The whole experience felt very laid back and easy. The two stops were absolutely beautiful and the crew was on point! The lunch was also yummy.
