Following complimentary coffee and pastries at the Cellarium, the 14th century medieval under croft, we enter the Westminster Abbey through the cloister. The cloister entrance offers priority access. This will be followed by an exclusive tour with our professional qualified guide.
An architectural masterpiece, Westminster Abbey presents a unique pageant of British history – the shrine of St Edward the confessor, the tombs of kings and queens, and countless memorials to the famous and the great. Our guide will help bring to life this remarkable building where 40 English and British coronations have taken place since 1066.
You will hear about the most recent coronation of Charles III that took place on the 6th May, 2023, the marriage of William and Kate – the Prince and Princess of Wales, and also stop briefly to pay our respect and celebrate the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II whose state funeral also took place at the Abbey.

Cellarium Cafe & Terrace
Our first experience of Westminster Abbey, one of the jewels in London’s crown and a must see for any visitor, is in the 14th century medieval under croft. Originally used by the Benedictine monks to store food and drink - the Cellarium is now a unique restaurant, and we pause here for refreshments. (Refreshments included in the price)

Frank was a knowledgeable guide. Gave us the salient points about Westminster Abbey. We took the early tour before the crowds arrived

Frank was an absolute amazing guide. There is so much to see at this absolutely beautiful and historic church. Frank did an amazing job at highlighting all the important aspects and not overwhelming us with too much detail. His knowledge was fabulous and there want a question asked that he couldn’t answer. We are so glad we choose this tour!!!

The only value of this tour was walking into the church one minute before hundreds of other people, but Frank blew that by spending 25 minutes blabbering about minutia in the front two corners of church. Meanwhile 15-20 other tour groups arrive and all of those guides had awareness that people wanted photo opportunities without a 1000 people crammed in photos. But not Frank, he acted like we had to stand right next to him and listen to his every word. I walked away, ignoring him and got my pics of church before hundreds arrived, my regret is that we didn’t just ditch the tour once we got inside as we needed to go back and visit areas he chose to skip in favor of his stories. Frank needs a reality check, first time visitors need cliff notes, highlights and photo time.
