Sabuga Fountain
Sabuga fountain: a beautiful fountain located in the heart of Sintra. The waters of this fountain are historicaly believed to be medicinal and flow from fresh springs up in the mountain. This fountain also tell us about a tragedy that afftected Portugal in the XVIII Century, as well as an important and decisive time for the rule of the Portuguese crown.
Sintra National Palace
National Palace: This palace is one of the most important monuments in Sintra and it's a must see. The palace is a great example of the Manueline and Mudéjar architectural styles, and it's the only palace in Portugal that still has its kitchens and service rooms almost completely intact.

5.00We saw Katia as we walked through Sintra and she was friendly and energetic as she shared the tour options. We wanted to walk back to town and she immediately suggested a way that would work. She drove us to the top of the mountain and we walked down. The tour was fun, with so much history and local lore shared. She made sure she took photos of us and provided suggestions on anything we asked- such as her favorite local restaurant. Her love for the area and her appreciation of the outdoor beauty shone through. I highly recommend the tour and Katia😊. And I’m glad we didn’t walk up to the Moorish Castle!

5.00Diogo was a great communicator. He is super knowledgeable and made our tour fun and interesting . He was on time and his English is perfect . I would highly recommend taking any tour from him and his company .

5.00Manuel and his tour were the highlights of our Sintra experience!! He very knowledgeable on the historical landmarks around Sintra and Portugal. He was an incredible amount of fun, personable and very polite! My sisters, mom, and I were very forgetful and chaotic and he kept us in line and made sure we had our belongings before moving onto the next stop. He was also a great photographer to capture these memorable experiences! Would highly recommend Manuel and Mr. Local to anyone touring Sintra! 5.00We’re a group of friends from Italy visiting Portugal and today we chose to explore the beautiful Sintra and its main attractions, including the Palace of Pena and Quinta Da Regaleira. We had the pleasure of running into Diogo in the early afternoon and hopped in his car to discover the rest of Sintra’s surroundings. We couldn’t have hoped for a better guide, Diogo thoroughly explained every detail of every monument and site we visited, making the history of Sintra come alive. His knowledge of the city’s rich cultural and historical background is impressive, and he made sure to share fascinating stories and lesser-known facts about each location. Diogo's passion for the area was contagious, and his friendly demeanour really made the tour feel relaxed yet informative. We know sometimes language barriers can be difficult to overcome, but this wasn’t a case, Diogo’s fluency in English (and even a bit of Italian!) was a bonus, making communication effortless. We really had a wonderful time, everyone in our group felt engaged throughout the tour! We feel extremely happy with the experience, and would 100% recommend a tour with Diogo!
