Glencoe

You will make multiple stops in and around Glencoe, providing many photo opportunities. Capture stunning views of the iconic Three Sisters and immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscape of the Highlands.

Fort William

This stop is ideal for lunch. Situated below Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain. If the weather is clear and time permits, we can take you to a great viewpoint to enjoy the scenery.

Eilean Donan Castle

Scotland's most photographed castle, situated on a small island where Loch Duich, Loch Long, and Loch Alsh converge. This 13th century castle has a rich history, having played a significant role in the Jacobite risings and undergoing a notable restoration in the 20th century. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding Highlands. The castle's picturesque setting and historic significance make it a brilliant photo stop.

Portree

On your final stop of the day, you will arrive in Portree, the charming main village of the Isle of Skye. If this is where you are staying, you'll have the opportunity to explore this picturesque harbour town, known for its brightly coloured houses and vibrant cultural scene. Portree offers a blend of modern amenities and historical charm, making it an ideal base for discovering the island's stunning landscapes and attractions. Enjoy the town's excellent dining options, unique shops, and the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and sea.

The Old Man of Storr

Traveling north of Portree, your journey leads to the iconic Old Man of Storr, a striking ridge on the Isle of Skye. This breathtaking landscape may be familiar from the opening scene of the film Prometheus' The Old Man of Storr is renowned for its unique geological formations and stunning views, making it a must visit destination on the Trotternish Peninsula. The site is steeped in folklore, with local legends telling the tale of a giant who once roamed the island.

Lealt Falls

The next stop is at the impressive Lealt Waterfalls, located on the Isle of Skye's stunning Trotternish Peninsula. This dramatic waterfall is nestled within Lealt Gorge, where the River Lealt plunges 90 meters over two stages into the Sound of Raasay. A short walk from the car park leads to a viewing platform offering breathtaking views of the upper falls and the surrounding rugged landscape. For those willing to venture further, a steep descent reveals the thundering lower falls, often less crowded and equally breathtaking.

Kilt Rock

A short distance away, we will take you to the Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls viewpoint, where you can marvel at the dramatic 90-meter basalt cliffs resembling a pleated kilt and witness the breathtaking Mealt Falls, a 55-meter waterfall cascading into the sea.

An Corran Beach

Our next stop is An Corran Beach in Staffin. Venture onto the beach to discover real dinosaur footprints! These ancient tracks, dating back 165 to 170 million years, were left by a variety of dinosaurs, including the Megalosaurus. As you explore this enchanting spot, immerse yourself in the history of a land that was once a marshy estuary, teeming with life during the Jurassic era.

Quiraing

Next, we'll go to the Quiraing, a breathtaking landscape that offers some of the Isle of Skye's most dramatic and photogenic vistas. This unique geological formation, with its towering cliffs and sweeping valleys, provides an unforgettable backdrop for capturing the perfect photo.

Fairy Glen

Next, we'll make our way to the breathtaking Fairy Glen. For lunch, we recommend the Uig Hotel, which offers not only delicious local cuisine but also stunning views of Uig Bay.

Neist Point

Finally, we make our way to the breathtaking Neist Point and Lighthouse, situated at the westernmost tip of the Isle of Skye. This iconic landmark offers stunning views of the Minch and the Western Isles, making it the perfect spot to reflect on the day's adventures. Take a moment to appreciate the dramatic cliffs, the historic lighthouse, and the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape before we head back to Portree.

Fairy Pools

In Skye, a final must see awaits are the enchanting Fairy Pools. Take a leisurely walk along the river and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of this unique landscape, where myth and nature blend seamlessly together.

Fort Augustus

Our journey continues with a scenic two hour drive to Fort Augustus, punctuated by photo stops whenever time allows. Upon arrival, you'll find a charming village filled with an array of cafes and restaurants perfect for lunch. Fort Augustus is also home to the Caledonian Canal. You can enjoy the village's picturesque setting and explore its historic charm. For those interested, a boat cruise on Loch Ness is available at 13:00, offering a unique perspective on this legendary loch.

Dalwhinnie Distillery

As we embark on an 80 minute journey, we arrive at the renowned Dalwhinnie Distillery, nestled at an impressive 1132 feet above sea level. Situated in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, this distillery is celebrated for producing some of Scotland's most acclaimed whiskies. With its unique blend of fresh, gentle flavors and rich history, Dalwhinnie offers an unforgettable experience. As we conclude our tour, we'll arrive in Pitlochry, a charming market town nestled in the heart of Scotland.
