Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre
Our tour guide will pick up you around 8am from your hotel or Airport. Head to first stop at Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. It was established in 1964 to return orphaned "apes back to the wild". The centre was being administered by the wildlife section of the Forestry Department which in 1988 was upgraded as a department under the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Development. All administration and management was given to the new Wildlife Department of Sabah. At 10:00 am Proceed to Platform B, observe man's closest relative a 'the Orang Utans being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterous Forest of Borneo and later watch a 25 minutes scheduled video documentary show.

Then move on to Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, promote sun bear conservation in Borneo through animal welfare, conservation, rehabilitation, education and research - giving captured sun bears a better home and restoring their right to live in the wild, by A Creating the capacity to confiscate, rehabilitate and release suitable orphaned and ex-captive bears back into the wild & providing an improved long-term living environment for captive bears that cannot be released. Educating the public and raising awareness about this species. Achieving increased protection for sun bears and their habitat through ongoing research, increased knowledge and awareness, and further protection of habitat. 1.00Since the day before, I tried several time to get in contact with the supplier of this activity. No one was answering. As I had to take a flight of 45 minutes to Sandakan from Kota, so I was worried, that no one would be there waiting for us. So I took contact with Viator, which helped us by contacting them. Finally, at 11pm they finally wrote for pick up at the airport the following morning. Our flight was at 6.15am! The driver took us at the Orango Rehabilitation and then for lunch. And what a surprise! Since the lunch was included, we choosed a dish from the menu. Once again in the car, the driver told us we have to pay for the difference, as the lunch cost only was if 20 Ringgit per person. As we spent more than this, we had to pay for the difference. So, we gave 50 Ringgit to the driver. He should have told us before, about that! Since long, we are traveller all-round the world. If it's said lunch is included, no other charges should arise. Now, we are no pretty sure, if the driver would keep by himself the difference given money. Very bad experience! Don't trust this activit

They were reliable guides who made my dream come true in seeing Borneo’s wild animals and more. You know you are in good hands when you book with Agus & Siti for your next wildlife adventure. I want to do it again with them and bring family & friends next time. They made it that special.

4.00It was a great experience, everything flowed easily, the only issue I had was my guide was not very informative at several stop off points. I learned so much from listening to other guides while he sat away from me. Although when he was informative it was great and always answered my questions. I know it was a private trip but taking into account of travel times, entrance fees and basic lunch it was massively expensive for 1 person, £130+ for just under 6 hours in Malaysia

5.00We traveled as a family of 6 to Sandakan for the day from KK. We were picked up and dropped off from the airport in a private air conditioned van. Adam was an excellent tour guide—knowledgeable, attentive, and well-paced the day. We saw many of Borneo’s Big Five wildlife. Momang, our driver, was also fantastic. Highly recommended.

4.00Interesting visit with a very educated and pleasant private driver. However we expected a lunch in local restaurant , this was not the case big disappointment as we had lunch at the cafeteria in the center of Sepilok orang outan 😔 This dear to us for this service.

5.003 visits one more beautiful than the other: seeing the orangutans and honey bears up close is a unique thing. Our guide was very kind and nice; convenient transport both outward and back!

1.00AS you cancelled the tour why are you asking me to write a review The tour was booked to commence at 0800hrs on Monday 15th Sept. Received a message on Sunday night that our guide was unavailable so the tour was cancelled and did I want to rebook for Tuesday. No effort was made to suggest an alternative tour just if not convenient to swap to tuesday they will refund(had to fly to NZ on Tuesday).SOLUTION barman at the hotel organised a driver and we went to all the tour highlights and two extra ones for less than the tour company was charging. He spoke good english and had excellent local knowledge. I think I got a better outcome

5.00Magnificent experience, we were lucky enough to see the alpha male of the orangutans, more beautiful walk in the rain forest and to see the Sun bears. The guide Sity was very good giving us many useful explanations. Recommendedasimo
