In the morning tourist guide and driver pick you up from your hotel at about 8.00 – 8.30 Bus drive 170 km to the Northeast of Viet Nam ( 3,5 hrs ). Along the way you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the Red River delta with peaceful villages, farmers working in their green fields, herding their water buffalos, flocking their ducks, trading garden herbs by the side of the road. We also make a stop on the half way to stretch our legs, enjoy a coffee or tea… before we continue our trip to Ha Long Bay. Arrive in Ha Long bay at about 12.00. The tour guide takes you to the boat for cruising Ha Long Bay (4-5 hours). Seafood lunch is served while the boat cruises the bay to enjoy the beautiful limestone seascapeon the boat. After lunch, you have a chance to visit one of the most beautiful cave in Ha Long bay- Thien Cung cave or the Palace of Heaven Grotto (where in 1288 one of Vietnam’s most famous Generals Tran Hung Dao amassed hundreds of stakes deep inside the cave prior to a battle with an invading Mongol army). We walking up to the middle of the island, then go inside of the cave to exploring. There are a lot of stalagmites and stalactites look like some animals.

5.00My wife and I wanted a private day tour to Halong Bay, with our own private car and if possible a boat for two. Hien organized the perfect tour for us. He picked us up from our hotel on time and with Binh as the driver we set off for Halong Bay. Horn is an inexhaustible source of information regarding everything about Vietnam; historical, political, economic, social, artistic, traditional. On the way to Halong we stopped at a shop where we learned how they culture pearls and we admired excellent sets of different types of pearls. Then we moved on a boat with my wife and me as the only passengers. Our new friends were the captain the cook and the server. They offered so many delicious dishes for lunch that it was impossible to finish. For the 4 hours we visited many spots throughout the bay, a floating village, a cave, and we admired the beauty of one of the most interesting places we have ever seen. Throughout this experience Hien was the perfect professional and gentleman orchestrating perfectly well every aspect of our trip. We recommend his company highly.

5.00Our guide was Hien, a true professional and gentleman. He created a very private program for me and my wife, which included our own car with Binh the driver and Hien, and our own boat with the captain, cook, and server. Hien was an inexhaustible source of information about all aspects of Vietnam (historical, economic, social, artistic, traditional), the places we visited and their meaning. Everything was orchestrated to perfection and we enjoyed every bit of our day tour go Halong Bay. I would highly recommend Hien and his team for a truly pleasant day touring Halong Bay.

5.00Trung, our guide, was knowledgeable and made our visit to Ha Long Bay that much better. It was great having a whole boat to ourselves. We left at 6am from Hanoi and back at 2pm. The caves were an added bonus. The size of the caverns was not expected…..huge! Because we were early we avoided large crowds also. The team on the boat were very welcoming and the seafood lunch was huge! The spectacular scenery was stunning. A great quick trip fulfilled another item on our adventures in Vietnam. I thoroughly recommend.
