A small temple besides Kamakura station. the site is basically quiet and not crowded so it's good spot for shooting comfortably as begging of the tour.

Myohonji Temple

Myohonji is oldest temple of a Buddhism sect which is 日蓮宗(Nichiren), was founded at around 1260. There is beautiful natures such as Sakura blooming on spring, Autumn leaves are breath taking. is offering a serene escape from the bustling city life of Kamakura. An old historic wooden structures are what you must see.

Shuhei is amazing. The guy made us feel special. One of my top 3 experiences of my life literally because of him. Pictures came out beautiful! Highly recommend Shuhei!

I really enjoyed this tour… already wrote a review, but wanted to add some photos. Couldn’t add any on Viator… review should have photos since this is a photography tour

I really enjoyed the opportunity to wear a kimono and see Kamakura. Shuhei was very friendly and took many great pictures in different places. It’s better to go to the least visited places so you don’t have to compete to take your photos or have a ton of people in the background. I may do this tour again in the future and do a different type of kimono. I saw some really beautiful ones while I was walking around. I think the best part for me was the reaction of the older Japanese ladies that thought it was so great and complimented me on how I looked. (This is the thing I love about Japan😁) They love to see people enjoying their culture!

It was a very much good experience! Both to wear a kimono and to have your pictures taken. Shuhei was very supportive when I did not know how to pose and suggested lots of different poses and made sure I was comfortable! Would highly recommend it even if you are not usually a person comfortable with being photographed. Thank you very much for this fantastic day!

I had a solo trip to Japan this time and had a day in Yokohama. I decided to explore Kamakura and I set about less than half a day for this. I chose this private tour because the option of shorter time and mainly the pick-up from the hotel. I wanted to move along quickly instead of trying to figuring out the public transportation. Though I was hesitant to wear kimono but I went with it. This tour exceeded my expectations and what I receives was worth more than the price. My private tour guide Shuhei is very personable and know the area very well. He picked me up in his car and it's all included in the package. We visited 4 temples, one was popular but the rest were so tranquil and beautiful. We also walked through Komachi Street. I've got and experience to wear a kimono but the best experience was dressing up with two kind and nice ladies and the shop. Shuhei took awesome photos. I was shy but he was able to help me get through posing. He delivered the photos shortly after. He was very flexible and knowledgeable and these make this short trip worthwhile and enjoyable. I strongly recommend this tour and Shuhei.
