  Overall, I was happy with the Ladakh Backpackers tour. However, there were some hiccups. I did not get the promised Whatsapp prep message expected 1-2 days prior to the tour and did not get picked from the airport, and calls/messages to the tour operator did not work (Manager got married a day prior!). Had a similar hiccup in being pickup from hotel for the airport for departure. Some of the hotels had design flaws and issues/limitations. The driver Abdul and the vehicle were excellent. Operator paid for my extra night in Leh to make up. Therefore, overall a 4 of 5 star experience.

  When my original group canceled the Ladakh trip after flight disruptions, Fida and his team at Ladakh Backpackers took over my request literally from one day to the next. They organized everything — car, driver, guide, accommodation — with excellent conditions, great care, and attention to detail. What makes them truly special is that you can see how much they love Ladakh and how passionately they do everything.   When travelling solo, one has to be extremely careful about both safety and comfort. I canvouch for it that ladakh Backpackers score a solid 10 on both of these. They customized my trip and were accomodative of my last minute changes. Dependable drivers like Ghulam and COmfort homestays. Protrip: Don't miss the authentic TIbetan cuisines in Leh

• A motorcycle trip

  Hi. I would like to share some interesting details about my trip through Ladakh. It was a motorcycle tour unlike Royal Enfields and KTMs commonly prefered for Ladakh trips, we took our regular use TVS and Bajaj motorcycles right from our door steps of home from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. My point it that Ladakh trip is doable on smaller capacity motorcycles too, but slower and you save lot of money of fuel. In the hills:- Day 1 Manali to Gumbak Rangen Day 2 GR to Rangdum Day3 Rangdum to Leh city viya Kargil Day 4 Leh to Khardung La pass and back Day 5 Leh to Jispa Day 6 Jispa to Ambala viya Manali

  We completed a terrific 6 day tour of Leh, Nubra Valley and Pangong lake, big thanks to Ladakh backpackers! Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area. Fida, Padman and Abdul our tour driver took very good care of us. Everything was well organized in advance. The accommodations selected were comfortable and included breakfast and dinner. The trip ran smoothly from airport pick up. We enjoyed visiting monasteries and exploring the local sights. Ladakh backpackers even helped us leave Leh by car hire when we needed.   I recently did a 6-day tour of Ladakh with a friend, and it was a great choice. Some friends recommended it to us, and it didn’t disappoint. While the car journeys are quite long, they’re absolutely worth it because the stunning mountain views are just breathtaking. We saw so many incredible places along the way that we wouldn’t have been able to experience otherwise. The team was super helpful and friendly throughout the trip. They answered all our questions and made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. I’d recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Ladakh comfortably and see a lot in a short time.

  We had a fantastic week with the Ladakh backpackers! The itinerary covered everything we wanted to see and the driver and guide were very friendly and helped us make the most of our trip.
