  We started our 4 days Singapore trip with the very informative culture Viator tour given by Colin. The tour guides us to explore Singapore culture, various colorful & vibrant ethic neighborhoods, and we were able to enjoy the city like a local. It was a perfect tour for the 6 US college kids in our travel group to understand Singapore history and culture mix. It supplements very well and provides a backdrop to our self guided tour of modern Singapore landmarks that we are able to do on our own. We highly recommend the tour to travelers to enjoy a more comprehensive knowledge of Singapore.

  I really wanted to learn more about the history of Singapore, but none of the group tours seemed to offer the depth I was looking for. I don’t usually book private tours, but I chose this one so I could tailor the experience to what I wanted to learn—and I’m so glad I did. Jane was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable and well-prepared. I filled out an intake form beforehand, and she came ready to answer my questions. She was also very flexible with where we went, making the most of our time. One small note: there seemed to be an expectation to stop for food at some point. I had already eaten beforehand, but Jane kept suggesting it, so I ended up grabbing something small and sharing it with her. It wasn’t a big deal, just something to be aware of if you’re planning your time around the tour. Overall, I learned so much about the city and saw places I wouldn’t have discovered on my own or through a typical group tour. This ended up being one of my favorite experiences—I only wish more tours were like this.

  My wife and I had been in Singapore 35 years ago and we booked a four-hour private tour to discover the differences in Singapore since 1990. Mark promptly met us at our hotel and we did a four-hour walking tour starting at the Merlion and continuing through the various cultural heritage neighborhoods. We had a fascinating dialogue as we explored the different areas together, sharing the history of each and where the cultures stand today. This tour took us places that we would have never found on our own and provided an opportunity to ask a local about living in Singapore that would not be possible otherwise. We walked 11,000 steps on your four hour tour so if you want to see a lot and learn about Singapore on a truly personal customized tour, we strong recommend asking to tour with Mark. But be prepared to walk and explore!

  Roy was an absolutely amazing tour guide.he gave us an overview of singapore including , history,culture, religion and cuisine. we experienced Temples, shrines, government buildings with an overview of past present and future Singapore. we walked around Chinatown, the English areas and the downtown going to overviews so we could appreciate the city layout and the growth with land reclamation This tour was definitely worth doing

  Roy was an excellent guide. He was informative, energetic and very accommodating to any changes we had. He also spoke English very well and took us to “secret” spots within Singapore that we would not have known to see. He is an expert on Singapore, and I would highly recommend him.

  My wife and I spent close to 3 hours with Joanne, who was simply terrific. We have been to Singapore many times, but we learned so much on this trip. She took us on the subway, which we now feel comfortable using on our own. The visit to Tiong Bahru was very interesting, a part of Singapore we did not know existed, full of art deco buildings. We are coming back to Singapore this December and will definitely engage Joanne again for more adventures.

  I highly recommend this private walking tour with Joanne. She is eager to impart the history and cultural traditions of the Chinese, Indian and Malay people who live in Singapore. We were here for the start of the Lunar New Year and Joanne started the tour by giving us two mandarin oranges and explained the customs of gift giving at the new year. We visited the Indian, Malay and Chinese neighborhoods and sampled Teh Tarik (delicious frothy milk and condensed milk), prata (Indian flatbread) and Yusheng, a special dish eaten at the New Year. Joanne explained the symbolism behind each ingredient. Joanne also taught us how to ride the subway and gave us suggestions for the rest of our visit. Joanne's love for Singapore shines through during the tour. Joanne also sent a follow up email detailing where we had visited and what we had eaten, which is very helpful as there was so much great information to absorb.   Roy was a very friendly, well informed guide. This was my 7th day in Singapore, so he customized the tour to me. He even knew some special spots that gave incredible views and taught me a lot about Singapore. We started and finished right on time. It was 4 great hours in a city that I have grown to love.
