Shirakawago
Our English speaking driver will take you directly to the UNESCO village of Shirakawago, You will spend 2 and half hours here. Crossing the spectacular pedestrian bridge across the Sho river, your senses will be filled with the sounds and smells of authentic rural life. This fairy-tale village is bound to inspire you as one of Japans most picturesque sites.
Hida Furukawa Old Town
Your group will then be whisked off to the canal lined streets of Hida-Furukawa. Your group will spend 1 hours here, exploring the town and taking in lunch. This once significant outpost during the Edo period is rich in architectural history. Famous for its timber craftsmanship and rowdy festivals this village is a rare gem among the towns and villages of this mountainous region.

5.00Masu was a wonderful guide/driver. His English is outstanding. He drove well, the van was comfortable and his plan for the day was great. I highly recommend spending a day with this charming young gentleman. He is very accommodating, kind and knowledgable! What a great day!!!

5.00Nozomi is the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Her English is almost perfect and she is incredibly knowledgeable and able to impart her enthusiasm for the places we visited in Kanazawa. 5.00There were 3 of us. I am a baby boomer and my 2 sons are Gen Z. Our guide Yuta was exceptional or as my sons’ would say Yuta is “the GOAT” (greatest of all time)! Not only was he well-versed in Japanese history, but he could converse about any topic that my sons’ or I brought up. Yuta has a wonderful personality. We enjoyed our time with him. This tour was recommended by a friend and it was an excellent recommendation. Yuta was patient and kind. We went to a wonderful ramen restaurant the he suggested and a great sushi place as well. Thanks Yuta!

5.00Great way to see small special towns outside of Kanazawa. We saw Shirakawago and Takayama towns, delightful and harming. Our guide Mai was knowledgeable, flexible and nice. The weather prevented us from visiting Hida Furikawa but Mai made good suggestions and we were really happy with our day together.

5.00Sachiko was very friendly, helpful and informative. The pace of the tour was perfect for us - not too rushed and not too slow. We apprexiate that Sachiko was very accommodating and flexible to meet the needs of our group - which ranges from 5 to 68 years old. We had a wonderful time at both Shirakawago and Takayama.

5.00Yuta is a very accommodating and pleasant tour guide. He gave us many interesting historical details about the places on the itinerary. The restaurant he took us to in the Shirakawago area has the best cold soba. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00Mai was a helpful and friendly guide who was considerate of our needs and let us go at her own pace. The UNESCO village at Shirakawago was particularly interesting and beautiful. Mai had a lot of background information to make the visit meaningful.

5.00We were in Japan for 15 days and visited several cities and did multiple tours. Our tour and time with Kumiko was the highlight of our trip. "Ku" was so charming, considerate, knowledgeable, and she prepared multiple visual aids to help us understand the history and key aspects of each site we visited. We are so appreciative and can't praise her emough. Thank you again "Ku" for making this a trip of a lifetime.
