Yuta is a very accommodating and pleasant tour guide. He gave us many interesting historical details about the places on the itinerary. The restaurant he took us to in the Shirakawago area has the best cold soba. We highly recommend this tour!

Mai was a helpful and friendly guide who was considerate of our needs and let us go at her own pace. The UNESCO village at Shirakawago was particularly interesting and beautiful. Mai had a lot of background information to make the visit meaningful.

We were in Japan for 15 days and visited several cities and did multiple tours. Our tour and time with Kumiko was the highlight of our trip. "Ku" was so charming, considerate, knowledgeable, and she prepared multiple visual aids to help us understand the history and key aspects of each site we visited. We are so appreciative and can't praise her emough. Thank you again "Ku" for making this a trip of a lifetime.

Perfect in every way! Our driver/guide was Yuka whose knowledge of the area and the sights we visited was first class. Yuka picked us up at the hotel in a brand new vehicle which added to the comfort of a long day. Leaving Kanazawa at 8am allowed us to beat the bulk of other tourists. Yuka recommended restaurants for lunch too. Each stopping point was well timed and paced. A great day out. Ask for Yuka!!

Our tour guide, Jun, was so friendly and helpful. His English was impeccable, and he was able to answer nearly all of our questions. He did an excellent job explaining the history and background of the places we visited. He picked us up from our hotel, helping with umbrellas and as needed. Shirakawago was a fascinating old village with roughly 400 still living there. We walked through the village, up the hill to check out the views and then toured one of the thatched-roof homes. Next, we drove to Furukawa where we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant serving Hida beef (like Kobe except from Hida). Jun was very patient, even though my husband and one of our friends were late because they had wandered to a nearby musical instruments store. Lastly, we drove to Takayama, which was a small town where the koi fish are abundant in the little canals. Jun also kindly let us borrow his phone to communicate with our hotel regarding our dinner reservations for the night.

Kanazawa Tours are to be complimented for the quality of their communication skills, their organisational ability and the quality of their guides Ai,Nozomi and Yuta who are very special people. They are passionate about their country and its culture. Beside showing us the highlights of our itinerary, they took us "off the tourist track" and provided helpful advice on restaurants for us to visit. We can highly recommend this company
