As you wander the streets of Bangkok it is not unusual to see monks adorned in their maroon and yellow colors walking along the road and it should come as no surprise as Thailand has over 26,000 Wat's (the local name for temple).

Dress Code: There is a strict dress code for visiting the Grand Palace. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand's most sacred site. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves - no sleeveless tops. If you're wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc. It is also recommended to not wear bright colors

Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit)

The temple of the golden buddha or Wat Trimit Wittayaram, located on the west of Hua Lamphong Railway Station. This temple is the world's largest solid-gold Buddha statue. Weighing 5.5 tons and measuring 10 feet (3 m) tall, this seated sculpture is believed to have been made back in the 13th or 14th century.

It was informative and enlightening. Our tour guide Betty was very personable, wise, and knowledgeable. She also made sure we got all of our photos and double checked that they looked good. She was so funny!

Wonderful experience! Benyapa was our guide. She met us promptly in our hotel lobby. We proceeded to travel in a nice van with plenty of space. Our driver was excellent, navigating Bangkok traffic easily. It was raining and they provided us with umbrellas. Benyapa was extremely knowledgeable about the temples. She explained everything in detail and provided us with details we would not have known when exploring on our own. Her upbeat personality made the afternoon a lot of fun.

We enjoyed this tour and our guide was very knowledgeable however we felt a bit rushed through each of the temples and would have liked longer to explore each of them especially as at the end we were taken to a gem factory and told we could spend time there looking through the shop, which we were not interested in doing and would have preferred more time at the temples. Traffic in Bangkok is very busy so a lot of time spent in the car.

Private tour was worth it and air conditioning was lovely. Guide took plenty of family photos and showed us some beautiful places. We are so glad we did this tour!

Very good tour, visited 3 famous temples. Guide provided good information about history of the country and temples construction. Also nice to be in air condined car during high heat.

This tour was very informative. My tour guide X was the absolute best. My husband and I learned so much about the temples and all that comes with it. It was truly something to see. I would definitely book this tour again and it would be a must that X be my tour guide. He is the best, hands down.
