YehLiu Geopark

Yehliu is a cape on Taiwan’s northern coast best known for Yehliu Geopark, where sea erosion has shaped honeycomb and mushroom rocks such as the iconic Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head. The area is mostly flat but offers little shade, so sun protection is advised during summer.

Shifen Waterfall

Shifen Waterfall is Taiwan’s most famous cascade, fed by the Keelung River, and measures about 20 meters (66 feet) high and 40 meters (131 feet) wide. Reaching the viewing platform takes about a 30-minute walk, partly shaded and crossing a suspension bridge.

We had a great guide, Nicolas Ying, for the whole day trip. All the places we chose were very interesting, the trip went as planned and was very educational. The food recommendations were very good. The guide was a very good communicator.

We had an amazing tour with our guide, Paul! He easily accommodated our last minute request to visit Houtong in lieu of visiting Shifen and we had such a great time. He took us to all the best spots for photos and general viewing and had the best stories to share (there was a lot of laughter!), as well as plenty of fascinating facts and history about the areas we visited. It was a great way to really learn more about Taiwan and see some incredible sights, and Paul also made sure to point out some great food along the way (we had a delicious mango drink at Yehliu that we might not have noticed that I am still thinking about). He also took us to a great spot for lunch in Jiufen with a truly gorgeous view that I know we wouldn't have been able to experience without Paul as our guide! Everything felt so organized and I was really impressed at the time efficiency--I thought visiting these spots would be a longer day, but we were on track and had plenty of time in each location. This was my first private tour and it has definitely encouraged me to try more--and we'll definitely book with Yolo Taiwan when we visit again!

Great tour with so much insight! Highly recommend Vincent as your tour guide as he is very knowledgeable and friendly and knew exactly where to go to get the best experience. He knew which short cuts to take and best local food spots as well. He was also kind enough to take photos for us during our trip and was very accommodating.
A great & convenient way to venture outside of Taipei!

We had a great tour with our guide Nicolas Ying. We came to Taipei while a typhoon was incoming, and Nicolas was very helpful and responsive in helping us reschedule and also cater our itinerary according to the weather. I would recommend this tour if you are looking to see the more mountainous terrain outside of Taipei, it is well worth the day trip! Nicolas was very friendly and kind, and I would highly recommend him. He knew all the go-to spots for the best views and photos, and we learned so much about Taiwan during our tour.

Nana was an exceptional guide who not only provided information about each site, but also shared historical details about the sites that made our visit more memorable. She personalized our schedule to minimize crowds and avoid heavy traffic times. Nana is very personable and thoughtful, she even went out of her way to take great photos of our group and to ensure that we had an unforgettable experience. We had seniors with mobility issues and Nana made sure that everyone enjoyed a great tour. Nana is a fantastic guide so grab Nana if possible for a great tour.

Jack is very nice and friendly, and he is very knowledgable about the history and culture of Taiwan. He showed us around the most interesting places which gave a good feel of Taiwanese culture. We had a very nice trip and would recommend him to anyone.

I was glad to get to know Vincent H. my tour guide today and probably the best I ever had and I travelled a lot. He was humorous, dedicated and kind every minute of this daytrip. Furthermore he knows a lot about the places he was showing. I enjoyed the company and learned a lot about the area. Jiufen and the geological parc are definitely not to miss and I can recommend the tour definitely to everyone visiting Taiwan and Taipeh area.

Our tour guide, Paul, was the absolute best! He gave us lots of fun facts and hilarious stories. Paul is super knowledgeable of all the locations you get to visit and ensures you’re well taken care of the entire time. Our favorite part was Paul taking us through the back alley ways of Jiufen and having a table with a gorgeous view ready and reserved for our lunch (delicious food). Highly recommend Paul and this tour to anyone visiting Taipei! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What could have been a miserable rainy day turned into a fulfilling , informative and interesting experience. And it was mainly due to the caring and expert guide skills of Vincent Chen. He is a native of Taipei. Vincent was a good driver and spoke excellent English. We didnt feel rushed and he answered. every question . He also offered to take our pics. It was a nice change from taking selfies! Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to do a full day tour through Trip Advisor.
