YehLiu Geopark

Yehliu is a cape on Taiwan’s northern coast best known for Yehliu Geopark, where sea erosion has shaped honeycomb and mushroom rocks such as the iconic Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head. The area is mostly flat but offers little shade, so sun protection is advised during summer.

Shifen Waterfall

Shifen Waterfall is Taiwan’s most famous cascade, fed by the Keelung River, and measures about 20 meters (66 feet) high and 40 meters (131 feet) wide. Reaching the viewing platform takes about a 30-minute walk, partly shaded and crossing a suspension bridge.

I was glad to get to know Vincent H. my tour guide today and probably the best I ever had and I travelled a lot. He was humorous, dedicated and kind every minute of this daytrip. Furthermore he knows a lot about the places he was showing. I enjoyed the company and learned a lot about the area. Jiufen and the geological parc are definitely not to miss and I can recommend the tour definitely to everyone visiting Taiwan and Taipeh area.

Our tour guide, Paul, was the absolute best! He gave us lots of fun facts and hilarious stories. Paul is super knowledgeable of all the locations you get to visit and ensures you’re well taken care of the entire time. Our favorite part was Paul taking us through the back alley ways of Jiufen and having a table with a gorgeous view ready and reserved for our lunch (delicious food). Highly recommend Paul and this tour to anyone visiting Taipei! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What could have been a miserable rainy day turned into a fulfilling , informative and interesting experience. And it was mainly due to the caring and expert guide skills of Vincent Chen. He is a native of Taipei. Vincent was a good driver and spoke excellent English. We didnt feel rushed and he answered. every question . He also offered to take our pics. It was a nice change from taking selfies! Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to do a full day tour through Trip Advisor.

Nicolas picked us up at the hotel and during the drive explained us what we were going to see as well as Taiwan history. Lots of knowledge but also very good mood, sharing many laughters with us. He also brought us to his secret restaurant spot. Very nice food and gorgeous view, despite the rainy weather… I can only recommend Nicolas !

My mum and I booked this tour to explore Taiwan outside of the capital. Our guide Richelle was great! She picked us up at our hotel and drove us around to the stops. She told us a lot about Taiwan in general as well as the spots themselves. She was even so kind to voluntarily prepare cold water for us. Overall a great experience, can highly recommend to anyone interested!

The trip was excellent. Vincent was our tour guide. He arrived earlier than scheduled time. The car was very clean and comfortable. Vincent introduced the history of the places. He didn't rush us even though we were behind schedule. And we got see the cold stuffs and behind the scene spots.

The trip was a successful conclusion to our Taipei trip. We started at 9:30 a.m., the hotel pickup worked perfectly. Our driver Nicolas also gave us historical information about Taiwan and answered all our questions. The first destination was Yehliu Geopark. Nicolas led us here to the highlights. Due to the tight schedule with several stops we unfortunately had little time here, but for the most striking points and a good overview it was definitely enough. Also the raising of the lantern at the next stop was a highlight and went very routinely on stage - it was all well organized. After the subsequent visit of the waterfall in Shifen we went to the last highlight, Jiufen. We got a guided tour of the town and the temple. In addition, Nicolas organized us a tea tasting with top views over the city and bay. After that we still had free time available and could still explore Jiufen on our own or go shopping. The trip is definitely worth the money and highly recommended!
