Two hours riding along huge sand dunes in the oldest desert in the world? What could be better than that! Desert Explorers is considered the number one adventure hub along Namibia's coast and we boast a fantastic reputation of providing excellent service and unforgettable experiences. Join us on this 2 hour trip - you won't regret it!

We pride ourselves in providing excellent and friendly service by professional guides. We also prioritize the conservation of our desert by only taking set-out routes and ensuring our desert stays clean. Our tours are not private; however, you will likely head out with your own group in off-peak season. We generally provide one guide for every six guests. Note that youth who ride their own quad bike pay the adult price.

Experience the sheer thrill of riding a quad bike through Namibia's boundless expanse of shifting sand dunes. This two hour tour one of our most popular tours and will take you on an unforgettable experience through the oldest desert in the world. Guests will receive a short introduction and safety briefing before departure. The tour starts out slow and steady as we head to the larger dunes, giving you a chance to get a feel for your quad bike. Our quad bikes are extremely easy to handle and our guides will be with you every step of the way. Many of our guests have never been on a quad bike before, and always boast a thrilling experience after the trip. Stops will be made when necessary and to take photos - one must capture this amazing experience. Kids are more than welcome. This is surely one of the 'MUST-DO's" in Namibia!

We booked this activity from the Netherlands. Everything was arranged locally for us. Both of us had never ridden a quad bike before and we needed some time to get used to those things like steering, accelerating, driving through sand etc. The guide kept a close eye on us. Maybe we didn't go that fast but you also want to enjoy the surroundings. A super experience.

Enjoyed this trip But try to go as a couple Once your further out it becomes better and stop often to enjoy the desert Worth the money / effort

Matthew was an excellent guide. No pressure to drive fast, or up the dunes. Took us on easy dunes to get us comfortable. We had Mario kart vibes.

Such a fun way to explore the dunes. It’s absolutely breathtaking! Mono, our guide, was so knowledgeable and made the quad bike tour so much fun for us. Thank you Mono for going the extra mile!

We LOVED our quad bike tour and combo sandboarding!! I was nervous to quad bike (to go down hills) but our guide was amazing and made sure I felt comfortable by helping me go down a couple times until I got the hang on it! We had to most amazing time- definitely one of our best days ever!! Oh- and staff beforehand was great about answering all my questions!

The quad bike tour was definitely worth it, the views were pretty. We ended up having a private tour which was cool. Only thing was that the guide was speeding a bit more than we liked and he didnt slow down a little eventho we asked him a few times. So we were sometimes more focussed on keeping up with him than enjoying. He seemed like he wanted to enjoy driving himself more than helping us feel comfy.

Woooooo! Man, can we go again? This was so much fun, and no matter where you've been quad biking before, there's something special about it in the deserts of Namibia. The ocean meeting the sand dunes.... magical. Our guide Timo was great and showed us the best time. And the guys there were creative in helping my action camera stay attached to the bike. Definitely take the 2 hour option because it goes by super quick. They give you hair nets and stuff for the helmet, and you can take your backpack. Wear sunscreen!!! Bring your sunglasses and sturdy shoes.
Bring gloves and sunscreen for quad biking !

Great two hour tour with Matthew! However, next time I would have brought my gloves (they don’t supply any), applied more sunscreen (was a bit burnt after) and don’t forget to the top of your hands and also brought a neck gaiter so my neck was covered. Overall a fun experience where you feel like you’re in Super Mario Kart and following the tracks of your guide and definitely doing down some steep hills. You might get stuck but they’ll come and get you out

Had very bad experience with this company just now. We are group of 10 people. Two guides came with us and did very slow tour. Two guides are useless and do not know how to talk. One guide told 11 year old my son that use your mind in very mean way. Maximum speed we did was 10km per hour and all others we saw going fast. When I kindly ask can you take two kids for small ride so they can enjoy riding but faster. Which they refuse. They should have devided our group to two. Instead these two lazy guides were thinking of last work for the day. We felt very cheated and rude action by two guides. Do not recommend this company for family group
