Captain Tyler kept us engaged by explaining about the lake and the surroundings. It was an awesome experience viewing the surroundings and taking great photos. The top deck can get chilly even in summer so bring a jacket!

This was such an incredible trip. The captain and commentator on the boat was knowledgeable and funny. Great service from the waiter on board. My kids and I loved it and very reasonably priced.

Loved the cruise and surroundings of lake Wakatipu. 90 mins very well spent with breathtaking views of nature. One of the best commentaries I’ve ever heard at a cruise mixed with humour and information. Highly recommend anyone wanting to experience the surrounding and the history of lake Wakatipu
Take a cruise with Skipper Dan, if you wish to be wholly informed and entertained.

My husband and I enjoyed our tour very much. Typically, we find commentary is often intrusive and annoying, but not in this case. Skipper Dan provided relevant and interesting information in a very entertaining way. He is a true storyteller and performer. Yay Skipper Dan! However, I will go on a tangent here and give TripAdvisor a poor review. I had already written my review, then had to login and reset my password, which is fine, but when I returned to my account, my review had vanished.
Very clean boat. Lovely touches like pictures taken on the bow, children got to steer boat!

We did the midday 90-minute lake cruise and it was a definitive must that all visitors to Queenstown should do. The commentary was helpful and informative as well. Restrooms located on the boat.

It was a very nice trip on the lake. The skipper provided the guests with a lot of information and gave many hints of special features around the lake. The organization via Tripadvisor worked very well. We were very pleased with the boat tour.

The ride was nice, everyone was friendly, you could drink well at the bar and the captain told a lot. Unfortunately it was very cloudy, so you couldn't see much. The trip only takes place on a small part of the lake, towards the airport and dam. I would have liked to go out on the lake.

Amazing cruise,90 minutes scenic cruise. Troy and Bree the staff onboard are helpful, friendly and made the trip a very pleasant experience. Well worth $79 each. Lots of historical information and interesting facts about Lake Wakatipu and the views are to die for. Would highly recommend, well worth doing!

A well-narrated (thank you, Troy) cruise along the lake. We were able to see much of the city’s suburbs and the surrounding mountains. Sitting atop was spectacular.
