5.00The tour was a great experience, meeting all our expectations. We met Luca our guide at the Termini station the train ride to Naples was a breeze, then transferred to a Van with Benedict to continue the trip to Pompei, Our guide Viola was knowledgeable and captivated our attention throughout the journey. The tour encompassed the most remarkable sites within the Park giving us ample time to delve deeper into the historical significance of this site, very impressed to see what remains from the settlement by the Oscans around the 7th century BC, followed by periods of influence and control by the Greeks, Etruscans, and Samnites before becoming a Roman colony in the early 1st century BC. It flourished under Roman rule as a prosperous port and resort city until its destruction by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. For those interested in ancient history this tour is a must. We also enjoyed lunch at the small winery and purchased 2 bottles of Rosso.

5.00When we scheduled this tour, my wife and I were a little worried. Meeting at the train station, meeting in Naples with a tour driver, touring the ruins and a winery, getting back in time to the train station, and getting back in time to Rome. It seemed very complicated and almost surely something would go wrong. Nothing went wrong. Even though the fast speed train from Rome to Naples could not travel at high speed (something to do with rapair works being done) causing a delay to our arrival in Naples. This company had everything under control. Thay adapted and provided seamless service and a great tour. Very informative, very relaxed. And, even though it was a long day, we didn't feel rushed or tired. The tour of the ruins was long enough and extremely informative. The lunch at the winery was a perfect break before returning to Rome. Perfect execution. Highly recommend
