Whale watching season is all year long in San Diego! Our team at Next Level Sailing provides the optimal experience with guides so experienced we received a 100 percent success rate during winter whale watching when spotting the King of the Deep.

We are one of the best outdoor activities to do in San Diego. Gray whale watching season spans from mid-December through April. Blue whales and fin whales are seen feeding in San Diego from April - August. Humpback whales and minke whales are seen throughout the year, particularly in the spring, summer, and fall. Aboard our 141-foot sailing yacht, the Yacht America, you will see a plethora of whales firsthand in their natural habitat. In addition to whales, we also see dolphins and sea lions, and an abundance of naval activity. Don't be surprised if you see an F-18 fly overhead!

The host was awesome, every member on the yatch was so helpful and understanding. A great experience with a great team. The main lady(sorry forgot the name), was awesome and she was ready to answer any questions(even the silly ones) you ask. The yatch is far better than being on a cruise. Thank you so much

Enjoyed the boat ride. Cold towards the end. Unfortunately, no whales this time. In December, wear lots of layers!

We had the most amazing experience on our whale watching tour. We were so fortunate to see over 300 dolphins sprinting within a megapod as well as a humpback whale breach! We saw lots of sea lions, the navy dolphins training, and even a navy submarine dry docked. Our guides and crew were fantastic, especially when passengers were feeling a little seasick or chilly. They walked around with blankets and sea sick kits and were attentive to all passengers. My only recommendation would be to any passengers prone to motion sickness, take some Dramamine in advance as precautionary measure.
