Come with us on a fun-filled evening at San Sebastian’s pintxos headquarters, the Old Town, where we’ve carefully chosen the best bites the city has to offer, hidden in plain sight. As we go, we’ll teach you what to do—and what not to do. Where to go and where not to!

This tour is not recommended for children under 15 years of age due to busy, crowded bars and the alcohol focus of this tour. For safety and logistical reasons, guests with very young children or strollers may be refused participation in this tour

We will be standing up in all the bars, in true Basque style.

We’ll start at a bar that’s been a local favorite since the 1970s. Here you’ll try a selection of the best mussels in town with dry Basque cider. Master pouring cider from a height straight into your glass and learn all about the cultural phenomenon of “TXOTX!” This traditional stop will be your first introduction into what going out for pintxos really means in San Sebastian.
Next, you’ll dive into the fascinating world of Spain’s most famous delicacy: cured Iberian ham. We’ll introduce you to a family-run gem stocked with Basque and Spanish gourmet products. Try two of the most-renowned (and most expensive) cured hams especially chosen by our friend Sylvain. By the time we leave, you’ll have an understanding of the differences between them—and a favorite!

5.00We can't recommend this tour enough!! Our tour guide Hector was fantastic. We stopped at 5 different restaurants for pinxtos and wine, each of which was famous and delicious. Hector managed the crowds, which weren't too bad because it was March. But Hector also taught us about the culture and history of San Sebastian and the Basque country the entire trip. It was well worth the fee and was one of the highlights of our trip to Bilbao and San Sebastian!!

1.00This tour is advertised as visiting 8 venues and to sample 8 dishes and have 5 drinks. We left with 6 dishes and 4 drinks. Despite checking with the company beforehand, we felt cheated as vegetarians and only an afterthought. We had less food than the meat eaters despite the opportunity to increase our serving size when options were limited. This tour does not represent value for money whatsoever and I would avoid at all costs if possible. We had to go and find something to eat and drink after the tour as we were so hungry.

5.00We had an amazing pintxo tour in San Sebastián with Cristina as our guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience feel effortless. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, and we got to try fantastic pintxos we never would have found on our own while learning about Basque food and culture along the way.Highly recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00This was a fantastic experience! Sala was experienced, knowledgeable, kind and delightful. The food and wine were amazing! I never would have been able to experience this variety of pintxos and wines and cider on my own.

5.00I discovered this pretty little Usually we just pass We stopped in the old town, the port and Mount Igueldo but did not have time to take the funicular and make Mount Urgull to get closer to the sacred Heart of Jesus overlooking the bay. I loved the walk along the coast, watch out for the huge waves that wet you even up to the wading coast of the road!!! Impressive San Sebastian!!! A very nice experience.

5.00Excellent way to experience the pintxos culture in San Sebastian. Hector was knowledgeable, insightful, and very accommodating as he took me around the many different bars, taking care to explain each pintxo and the context around it and San Sebastian in general. The food and drinks were very generous too and I left feeling very full and satisfied! Highly recommend this tour at the start of your trip to get you started on all the amazing things San Sebastian has to offer. Thank you Hector for a fabulous experience!

5.00What a fantastic experience! Every stop was well thought out, thoroughly explained, alongside local stories and history… this is a MUST DO!! Oh yes,.. and the pintxos were beautiful and accompanied by great local wines and… the most beautiful cheesecake I’ve ever tasted for dessert!!
