Marvel at the beauty of the Galapagos’ Central Islands aboard our own Sea Lion Yacht – one of only 12 yachts in the Galapagos that offers day tours to the Galapagos National Park in the company of certiﬁed Naturalist Guides. Operations are handled by a fully seasoned captain. You’ll embark on a Galapagos Day Tour like no other!

Santa Fe offers one of the more beautiful and sheltered coves in the islands. Its turquoise lagoon is protected by a peninsula of tiny islets that form an ideal anchorage spot.

Studies suggest that the island of Santa Fe is, in fact, one of the oldest in the entire archipelago. Given the island is the result of uplift from the ocean floor, you can actually see lava formations (that were previously underwater) sitting on its surface.

Santa Fe Island

We depart from the meeting point in Puerto Ayora. Following a short panga (dinghy) ride, we board the Yacht and set sail for two hours until we reach the island of Santa Fe. Upon arriving, we perform a wet landing and disembark on the white sand beach. From there, we enjoy an exciting walk and a refreshing dip over at La Encañada a wonderful visitor site on Santa Fe Island. You’ll also get the chance to do some snorkeling with the equipment we provide aboard the Yacht! Afterwards, a delicious lunch awaits back aboard the vessel. It is home to two endemic species: the Santa Fe land iguana and the Santa Fe rice rat. Additionally, you’ll also get to admire the largest species of opuntia cactus as well as Galapagos hawks, blue-footed boobies, Galapagos sea lions, frigatebirds and the marine iguana. This Day Tour is offered on Thursdays. Important: Day Tours are subject to change due to weather conditions, logistical reasons, guests’ safety and/or Galapagos National Park Regulations.

It was all there!. Sea lions, iguanas, blue footed boobies and fantastic snorkeling. The lunch was beyond great. Far better than we expected A real professional crew!
