Art is not the first thing that comes to our minds when we think about Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo, but we assure you that Sarajevo has one of the best art scenes in region. In this tour we will visit few locations in Sarajevo that are related to conceptual and contemporary art, we talk to local artists and art curators.
Conceptual art is a direction in modern art from the early 1960s to the mid 1970s. It emerged as an artist's desire to dematerialize the subject of artistic activity, using non-traditional artwork and materials (polaroid, art, film, video, body art, happening, urban action).
Join us in this awesome tour! We start every day at 1pm, except on Sunday, in front of our colorful office and tour agency.

Brodac Gallery
Contemporary art gallery Brodac is located in an old building that has a story, and a soul. It used to be an prison during Austro- Hungarian occupation. Now it is turned into a cozy place where you can visit contemporary Bosnian art exhibition every once in a while. They also serve an amazing local craft beer Gelender.
Ferhadija Pedestrian Street
Ferhadija runs west to east, from Vječna Vatra and the point where it meets Titova St., all the way to Gazi Husrev-Begova St., where it then turns into Sarači St. and continues east. On Ferhadija street we will see Sarajevo Roses, a concrete scar caused by a mortar shell's explosion that was later filled with red resin. Mortar rounds landing on concrete create a unique fragmentation pattern that looks almost floral in arrangement. Because Sarajevo was a site of intense urban warfare and suffered thousands of shell explosions during the Siege of Sarajevo, the marked concrete patterns are a unique feature to the city.

5.00This is an exceptional tour. Extremely rich and informative. It is about street art, with all its rituals, customs, famous artists, festivals. But not only. It covers architecture, with the highlights of Turkish and Austro-Hungarian buildings around the city. But also Bosnian traditions, the bazar, the Latin Bridge, some beautiful galleries. The guide is well informed on many subjects and his mastery of English is exceptional. Plus he guides you with a great smile. I truly enjoyed this tour. Would recommend it to everybody. If you are not interested in art, do it. You will see what you have missed.

5.00One of the best tours we’ve had in this part of the Europe. Mak is an excellent guide. His passion for Sarajevo’s history and culture really shows. 100% recommendation to everyone. I went on a tour with my teenage son and we had a great time. We even got introduced to some local artists and craftsmen which was super cool!
You want regret going on this tour.

5.00The guide, Adnan, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He shared a lot of information both about the art and the artists and also about the Bosnian history and people. Even though some galleries were closed, we had no problem filling the day with beautiful art and interesting information.

5.00I like the arts trip a lot, you will find many hidden arts places in this city in this tour. Mak is a super nice and knowledgeable guide, he will share not only the history but also his own experiences during the war. He is always helping with any questions. He even gave me a book he writed as a gift! I would highly recommend this tour with him. Thanks again Mak!

5.00Enjoyed this Tour thorugh sarajevos Hidden places i would have never know without Alan. He Is A street artist himself and had great knowledge about bosnias time after the war in the late 90's and the role of street art in that time And nowadays. Our last stop was the National Gallery, an interesting Art collection. Definetly recommend It.

5.00Just spent last week with this great group of people in Art and Tours visiting Sarajevo with my girlfriend. We did and amazing street art tour where the tour gides tought us a lot about street art in Sarajevo and Sarajevo culture in general. I warmly recommend this travel agency if you plan to visit Sarajevo. I would also like to point out the specific atmosphere among the tour guides. Thanks once more, I hope we see each other again! ❤
