Too theatrical. Should have been more historical and less theatrical. The driver was great, the narrator not so much

Having spent an enjoyable day in Savannah & being interested in things-that-go-bump-in-the-night, my wife & myself were keen to do a night-time experience so after some research decided that the Ghosts & Gravestones Trolley would be a good option to spend a couple of fun hours with a spooky twist & I guess we were on the whole satisfied with the experience .... Just. Our trolley was completely full with every seat taken, so even though we arrived well ahead of time, my wife & myself had to sit apart which was a shame & whilst not the complete fault of the tour company, did detract from our enjoyment until a lovely fellow guest offered to swap seats as she was sat alone anyway. The experience is an evening tour of the beautiful Savannah streets with two planned stops, narrated by an enthusiastic guide which leant more into performance than a simple tour guide. The tales & stories were rattled out at a fast pace & whilst this provides for lots of information, I think the tour would benefit from a little "less is more" quality as after a while, we found ourselves looking at the sights and wondering what we were passing by & less interested in hearing another legend. For reasons I can't recall we were unable to stop at the designated first stop so instead hopped off at Colonial Park Cemetery which pretty much represented our first real disappointment of the trip as our entire tram hopped off, handed over to another guide who told a tale outside the cemetery fence which was fine except there were maybe 5 or 6 other tours doing the exact same thing, all jostling for positions along a length of exterior fence with new trams arriving every few minutes. It felt very production-line as we were asked to move a little further along to hear another tale whilst another tour group stood where ours had just been. We were outside the cemetery for circa 15/20 minutes and whilst we didn't truly expect the tour to be particularly spooky, despite peering into a particularly atmospheric cemetery on a damp, dark night, any air of creepiness was completely lost due to the nature of how the tours were conducted. We were glad to hop back on the bus however it wasn't long before we were hopping back off again to visit our second stop which was 100% theatrical & resembled something akin to a theme park pre-show however this was clearly executed at considerable cost & we really enjoyed this part of the tour. Overall this is a fun tour but could be improved in an effort to increase the spooky side of the experience however acknowledge this may prove difficult with the sheer volume of tourists out & about on the Savannah streets at night.

I thought that the tour guide felt a little too rehearsed, long-winded and hard to follow. I would have preferred the bus pull up to the home/area that was being discussed, stop, and then tell the story. Because the bus never really stopped in between stories it was difficult to tie the story to the location.

Ally and Brandi were amazing! Loved the history and stories that built the city! Ally tied her personal family history into the legends and made it personal

Liked the tour to see homes. The show seemed difficult to hear what he was saying. Tour guide and driver were great.

Did the Ghosts and Gravestones Trolley Tour on a Sunday evening and I was genuinely impressed and entertained. I've been on several ghost tours before, either by walking or by trolley and while they were all great, this one took it up a notch. I was not expecting what we did during the 2 stops on this tour. I won't go into too much details, so I'm afraid you'll have to try it yourself. Our tour guide Liza was the best. Great story telling of Savannahs darker side of history with a good sense of humor. In fact, everyone from the trolley driver to the characters in the Andrew Low House portion to the storyteller in the Perkins and Sons Ships Chandlery were excellent. Wonderful characterization blended along with the right amount of humor.
