Water Puppetry is a traditional art form with distinctive culture identity of Vietnam. It came into existence, developed and diversified over a thousand years ago in the Red River Delta. Thanks to unique performances on the water, this puppetry art is famous and highly appreciated all over the world.
In early days, water puppetry showed the daily life of villagers such as farming, fishing, romance and children playing. Now, the topics of the plays are also picked from ancient legends, myths and historic stages.

5.00The Water Puppet show was fantastic from start to finish. I really enjoyed the accompanying instruments and songs as well. The puppeteers are so talented, they brought the characters to life! I didn't feel it necessary to have english translation, it wasn't too hard to figure what was happening. The puppets were funny and endearing, A big thumbs up! One thing to watch, make sure, if you hold. your phone up to record or take a photo, to ensure that you're not blocking the view of people behind you. If you're in Hanoi, you MUST see the puppet show!

5.00Absolutely amazing. A must see experience. We really enjoyed everything - the culture, the music, the drama, the humour and the art. We sat right at the back and could still see everything.

5.00This was an hour happily spent. Well worth the ticket price it goes for one hour. The show is accompanied by musicians playing old traditional songs as the puppets act out legends of the old history of the region which goes back thousands of years. We laughed a lot. Lovely live music, charming performance, I was glad I came.

5.00Great show of puppet virtuosity in a beautiful old Theater.Great for kids and elders alike. I loved the show, the puppets, the music and singing. I enjoyed it without a guide and headset. It takes slightly less than an hour and they start on time. Best to book online a few days before.

5.00I attended the water puppet show in my area and it was an absolutely magical experience! The puppeteers were so precise and precise in their movements, that it felt almost like the puppets were living! The show had a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern entertainment. I highly recommend it to my friends, as it's totally worth experiencing at least once.

5.00I found this on the internet and thought it was something different to experience. We are so glad we did! The puppetry is fantastic. The performance was in Vietnamese and we weren’t sure what the story was but have pieced it together since seeing it. It is clever, funny and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend it.
