What To Expect

Burford

The day begins by departing London and travelling towards the quintessentially English countryside of The Cotswolds; an area that is famous for its beautiful landscape, charming villages and honey-coloured stone cottages. Our first stop will be the traditional town of Burford; known as the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. This is a historic place where many houses date back nearly 600 years and little has changed for centuries. During the visit there will be time to explore Burford, visit the magnificent church and stroll along the high street to visit a mix of independent family-run shops.

Bibury

The village of Bibury is often described as the 'prettiest village in England'. It's charming scene is a snapshot of traditional English country life. Wander along the gentle river and see the iconic Arlington Row; a set of weavers cottages that are now one of the symbols of the Cotswolds.

Our guide, Liam, was awesome and made the day trip that extra bit special. Excellent knowledge of the area and of the history, loved having that context. Trip was a great way to explore more of the country and the countryside, and we're now keen to do more of their multi-day trips to other parts of England!

Very well run excursion to the Cotswolds. Jamie was so informative and helpful and hilarious. I highly recommend this tour group. Small and not on the huge buses.

Jamie, our guide, was wonderful. Provided interesting facts and tidbits about the towns we visited, was knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 for him. The towns we visited however, were SO CROWDED. Nothing that Viator or the tour group could control. But it was overwhelming, we could not get great pictures, and it was difficult to visit stores or get lunch due to the sheer throngs of people. We went on a Saturday because it was our only option - would recommend going during the weekday for a less stressful experience. We wanted to get out of the city and enjoy some countryside, but it was just as congested.

The Cotswolds are charming. Everything we were hoping for and our guide Ash was amazing. Large van/ small bus was super comfy. We got to get off the beaten path some - really cool. It was a perfect day.
