Discover the stunning array of red sandstone formations at the Red Rocks of Sedona. In addition to experiencing the breathtaking backdrop of the Red Rocks you will also explore ancient Native American ruins on this day tour from Phoenix. You’ll have a total of approximately 2-3 hours in Sedona to explore on foot, visit world-class art galleries and shops, or get a psychic reading. Your guide will also take you to photo spots to view and explore the wonders of this sculpted red rock playground. Enjoy this small-group tour with a maximum of 13 passengers in a custom, air-conditioned van.

Arizona state law requires children under 8 years to have either a child seat or booster. Child seats are not provided, please bring your own and you must notify supplier ahead of time.
Minimum age is 3 years and you must notify supplier ahead of time of any small children and that you will provide car seats.
Wheelchairs or walkers that fold up are acceptable on tour - you must notify tour supplier ahead of time
You must let the supplier know if there are any mobility concerns that they should be aware of.
There is NOT a restroom on the van. Comfort stops are made throughout the day.
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
FOR LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: Any tours booked after 7:00PM Arizona time the night before the tour date might not be confirmed. You will likely have to meet at another hotel for pick up. Our office will contact you prior to 6:00am on the tour date.

Montezuma Castle National Monument
To be true to the area's rich history, the Sedona single day tour gives you a chance to explore ancient Native American civilization. You'll visit the ruins at Montezuma Castle National Monument which are the most easily accessible, best preserved and arguably the most spectacular cliff ruins in North America. You'll see an impressive 20-room, 5-story structure built into the recess of a white limestone cliff about 70 feet (21 meters) above the ground.

5.00Can't say enough about the wonderful experience using Detour America West! From the moment the six of us boarded the Sprinter Van through our drop-off at the hotels that evening went seamlessly. The trip to Sedona from Scottsdale was unforgettable. The comfort of the van and our driver/guide, Mark H's entertaining commentary made all the stunning scenery and history come to life. He easily managed visits to all the planned landmarks as well as our impromptu breakfast break and add-on visit to a winery. We will always use Detour America West when our friends and family visit Scottsdale.

5.00Depending on where you are coming from, it is a lot cooler in Sedona, so check the wind and temp before you leave. Other than that, our tour guide, Jordan, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. I could have spent a little more time checking out the village in Sedona, but the places Jordan showed us instead of more shopping time were very beautiful. The majority of our group wanted to see more of the red rocks, so we were completely okay with that. When you look at the length of the tour, it seems like a lot of driving, and it is, but the way the tour is split up, you are getting in and out of the tour van pretty frequently so it splits up the driving time very nicely. Overall, I would really recommend this trip if you want to see the sights in Sedona, and get a feel for the culture as well.

5.00Worth the drive! From the PHX area expect 90-120mins van ride. Comfortable captains chairs to enjoy the views enroute. There is a planned rest stop for bathrooms and snacks along the way. Appreciated! Sedona sites were well thought out for this tour. Plenty of time to see each location with a healthy duration lunch stop in the middle to eat and walk around the markets of Sedona. Historically accurate commentary along the way sharing the cool stories of old. Elmar was our guide. Very cool, very personable. A great people person! Well done sir…

5.00Sam was really good as a guide and driver. Very informative and friendly. The tour was in general very intereating and well organised, the van was comfortable. The pick up and drop off could have been better arranged from the company as it took an hour to pick up everyone and an hour to drop off, and for me at least I had to travel another 15 minutes by uber or 40 min by tram to get to the meeting point as opposed to others who were picked up from their hotel. I think it would have been better if we were all told to meet up at one place and then drive off from there, therefore not having to start off the tour too early for some and driving me around the whole of Phoenix, Scodsdale and Tempe. Other than that all was great.

5.00My daughter and I had a wonderful time on this tour! Our driver Tracy was very kind and helpful. We highly recommend it to anyone that’s coming to visit Phoenix, it’s just a short drive.

5.00It was a great trip. Elmar was wonderful and a fun tour guide. Knew a little and was very informative. Since it was cooler in the morning he waited for the monument stop until our way back so it was warmer out for us. It was a great trip and wonderful guide

5.00Tour guide was very informative, had a nice sense of humor, drived safely. We were given enough time to explore sites. Unfortunately Viator didnt notify me of change in pick up time. I received an email notification of time change fours hours AFTER the modified time change. Fortunately, Mark Lane of Detours called to say he was waiting! Viator also listed the wrong hotel for my pick up location. My voucher listed the hotel next door instead of the hotel I gave them when I made the reservation. Detours and the guide were great! Viator needs to improve its administrative functions!

5.00Our tour guide Jay was amazing. He's very knowledgeable about Arizona and the culture. The trip to Sedona included a stop at Montezuma Castle, the Holy Cross Chapel, and Airport Mesa. All of which I didnt expect and was a pleasant surprise. You have a few hours to enjoy uptown Sedona and shop. If you only have a few days and prefer not to do drive, this is a great tour. I would 100% recommend it.
