The Icelandic Highlands is a unique area with some rugged landscape and that is exactly where this tour takes you. This 4-hour snowmobile adventure tour departs from Gullfoss. Marvel at the Icelandic scenery during your ride to the glacier in a 4x4 monster truck, then hop on your snowmobile after a brief instruction lecture and drive along and on-top of Langjökull glacier. Perfect for the independent traveler which just happens to be in the Golden Circle and wants to add a little extra to their sightseeing tour.

We meet you at the meeting point and drive you to our cabin by the glacier. From there we give you all the necessary gear required to participate in the snowmobiling activity. Then we give a short introduction on how to operate the snowmobiles and safety issues you need to be aware of. Then we go out snowmobiling to the glacier for one hour. We stop for photos and to enjoy the view once during the trip. After that, we take you back to the meeting point. Best to be there 15-20 minutes before the departure time.

This experience easily stood out as one of the best parts of our time in Iceland. From start to finish it felt incredibly well run, relaxed and genuinely special. The conditions on the day were perfect, which made being out on the glacier even more impressive. The landscape was unreal and we came away with some truly stunning photos. For those in our group who were new to snowmobiling, everything was clearly explained and easy to get to grips with, so it felt exciting without ever being intimidating. The guides were friendly, attentive and struck a great balance between keeping things safe and letting everyone enjoy the experience properly. We were also fortunate to be in a smaller group, which I think made a huge difference — it felt more personal and unhurried compared to some of the larger tours you hear about. All in all, an unforgettable experience and one I wouldn’t hesitate to do again.

This was the highlight of our Iceland trip. The weather was wonderful, the tour guides were friendly and helpful, the snowmobiles were easy for the beginners in our group, and the glacier and landscape was beautiful. We had an amazing time and took the most beautiful pictures. A must see for everyone in Iceland.

Amazing experience. It was so cold but they prepare you well with their snowsuits and if you need better gloves or boots you can rent. The ride itself was unbelievable - so beautiful!

Really fun experience but definitely too many in the group. There were accidents left and right and you couldn’t go faster than 20km/hr. Good if you want a leisurely ride on a snowmobile but don’t expect to be able to go full throttle.

Our snowmobiling tour in Iceland was incredible, and Edgar was an amazing guide. He made me feel safe while keeping the experience fun and exciting. It was freezing and very snowy, but that only added to the adventure. I had an absolute blast with my family and friends, and it was easily one of the highlights of my entire trip.
