  Cha-Cha made my birthday hike experience absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we met in the parking lot at 4:30 a.m., she was warm, kind, reassuring, and so thoughtful. She came with birthday decorations, fun accessories for me to wear, and the most delicious cake pops that I ended up devouring throughout the rest of my trip. 😂 I was honestly a little nervous at first because I don’t think I fully processed that we’d be starting the hike in the dark, but Cha-Cha was incredibly patient and encouraging every step of the way. She made me feel safe, comfortable, and confident throughout the entire experience. Not only did she capture amazing content, but she also went above and beyond by creating and editing a beautiful reel for me that was completely ready to post. She truly has an eye for content and storytelling. What stood out most to me, though, was her genuine compassion and care. From beginning to end (even waiting with me afterward until my Uber arrived ) she was simply wonderful. If you’re visiting the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, I cannot recommend Mad Desert Trekking enough, and I highly recommend booking with Cha-Cha specifically. She helped make my birthday trip so special, and I’ll never forget it.

  Curtis was an awesome tour guide on the hike. He was patient and very experienced. He had all the essentials. At one point in my hike I got a little dizzy and he helped me with some hydration and snacks as well as hiking poles to help with my balance. Overall I loved the hike and the experience! The views from the top were breathtaking and so worth it!

  Jay took my cousin and I on a sunset hike. He went above and beyond for us, and we cannot recommend him highly enough. His knowledge of the area, its history, its geography, the flora and fauna was incredible. He had everything we needed for our hike, made us laugh, is kind and thoughtful, and the time flew by. Book a hike, and be sure to ask for Jay!

  Experience was unbelievable and the views were even more impressive. The hike was a little tough but the views were so work it. He also provided water, Gatorade and other supplies as well as good convo!!

• Solo Hike in the Sonoran Desert

  My solo hike through the Phoenix Preseve was an unforgettable experience made even more memorable because of my lovely guide, Cha-Cha. She made me feel extremely safe, supported and comfortable which was important as a solo traveler. Cha-cha was very knowledgeable and pointed out various plants and cacti. As someone who hikes, the trail was moderately challenging but definitely beginner friendly. I highly recommend you book the tour the next time your in Phoenix and looking for beautiful scenery and a breathtaking sunset views. Ask for Cha-Cha, you won't regret it!

  Let me start by saying, I don't really like to hike. It's a running joke in our family. My wife booked this and I was like "ok...I guess." But it was soooo amazing and enjoyable, it kind of "made" our trip to Phoenix. The sunset views were breathtaking - I wish pictures did them justice. Joe was our guide and he was fun, interesting, welcoming and just a pleasure to meet. He knew his stuff, told some fun stories, and guided us through a great, perfectly timed hike. He also gave us a stellar recommendation for dinner after the hike, which was probably the best meal we ate on the trip. Highly recommend. (I think I'm reviewing under my wife's account, but this isn't a duplicate!)

  This was a last min plan for me and def worth it. Our guide Jay was amazing! The hike was not difficult and the top view was amazing. 10/10

  Joe was a fantastic guide for our hike. He was informative and gave us interesting information about the area and vegetation along the way. My husband and I enjoyed getting to know him during our two hour hike. The view for sunset over the valley was amazing. We had an incredible experience and would highly recommend it.
