• Incredible whale sharks and crew.

  From booking to being on the boat staff were overly helpful and reassuring. Boat crew just so supportive and encouraging during the trip and being in the water. If I were fortunate enough to be in Exmouth again I’d do it again. Just amazing to see the sharks up and close 😊

  From the moment we were picked up from our hotel to the moment we returned we had a fabulous day. I can’t remember individual names, but on our bus we had two staff members who were most welcoming and informative about what our day would consist of plus lots of information about the places we passed on our bus en route to the boat. Our day was perfect - we saw and swam with whale sharks, humpback whales and turtles swam past our boat and during our two snorkels we saw a myriad of tropical fish of all colours. We had a professional photographer on board who went out of her way to ensure that we were all included both on the boat and in the water. All the wonderful photos were available for us to download the very next day. We had been warned that as it was getting towards the end of the whale shark season we might not see any, but we actually had the opportunity to complete 3 swims with those amazing creatures. The crew were incredibly efficient at managing us in the water so that we were all able to swim comfortably alongside the whale sharks. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. Our boat was very comfortable Safety was a high priority Morning tea, lunch and afternoon drinks were all delicious and plentiful The team from 3 Islands were amazing. They really exhibited the very best of teamwork and nothing was too much trouble. I’m pretty sure that every one of them touched base with me and my husband at some stage during the day.

  This was simply one of life's magic moments. My daugther and I dove with 3 Island Whale Shark dive in July and it was the amazing experience. The all girl crew were absolute professionals, provided exceptional commentary and gave great instruction on how the experience would run. We were never in doubt about how we had to approach the water and our experience. The team were attentive, we felt safe and secure at all times and created a lifetime memory. We dived with 4 whale sharks, saw humpback whales and dugongs and turtles. The vessel was clean and extremely well presented. Lunch was great! The equipment was in excellent condition. I would highly recommend this company and it is worth every cent you pay for this fantastic experience. We will remember this for years to come. Thank you!

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• A dream come true - swimming with Whale Sharks

  When I first heard about this I had my doubts that you could actually do this. There were so many variables; weather, would the whale sharks still be there, would they just whiz by ….etc., etc., The day came and we arrived and were greeted by the friendly crew. We had already been collected from our hotel by two members of the crew. We were given a briefing and snorkel equipment en-route to our first stop, a snorkel at a spot on the inner reef. This was to test the masks etc. but we saw numerous fish, a big sedgefish? that looked like a shark and, a reef shark. We then proceeded to the outer reef. The company has two boats sharing a spotter plane. We were soon preparing to enter the water. The photographer enters first and swims showing the path of the shark. The captain, Jerry, positions the boat and then we are instructed to enter the water with another crew member. We form a line and when the shark is near, we were instructed to put our faces in the water. We watch the shark go by and then we can follow and then move up to swim alongside it, keeping behind the dorsal fin and 3m from the body and 4 from the tail. I held a GoPro, so just used my fins for swimming. It was an amazing experience, better than I could have hoped for. We had two groups on our boat but were in and out of the water as we rotated. There was little time between swims, which was fantastic. We had six swims in total with three different sharks. We were with the shark for roughly six minutes at a time, which felt like much longer, a real privilege to be able to swim with them. After the last swim a whale shark appeared at the surface, millimetres from the boat. We had a refreshing lunch then sighted a mother and calf Dugong and numerous humpbacks. We then moved inside the reef for another snorkel and swam with a turtle. The crew were fantastic and Molly, the photographer was outstanding, swimming for so long alongside the shark and directing its path to us. Words can not fully describe the experience.

  We did two tours with 3 Islands as we wanted to make sure we got to swim with the whale sharks. Both trips were successful and we had multiple swims with these amazing creatures. The staff are incredible and run the tour incredibly efficiently. (Food also great). Our second trip had calmer weather and although our whale shark swims weren’t quite as good as the first trip, we had some amazing reef snorkeling, swimming with reef sharks and rays and many beautiful fish. Also from the boat we saw turtles, and many humpbacks which was a thrill and even a dugong! It really was such a memorable day. Thanks Fab, Jen, Isla, Aimee and crew 😘

  We couldn't have asked for more! A really cool , extremely knowledgeable and friendly crew, 5 for 5 successful dives with the whalesharks, stunning snorkeling, good food, a comfy boat (with toilet), and a beer and champers on the ride back to shore

  Awesome day out with the crew on Drawcard yesterday, snorkelling with the whalesharks on 5 occasions. Enjoyed seeing dolphins and plenty of humpback whales up close. Big thank you to all the girls & Sam for making it such a fun day out. The stars of the day were definitely the whalesharks.   The crew on board were phenomenal, they were incredibly accommodating and supportive of those who were a little nervous :) They were also great with more experienced swimmers/divers and allowed us to swim freely along with the whale sharks (as long as we could keep up and at a safe distance) The crew were incredibly safety conscious and made everyone feel safe! There were a variety of food options and each of them were delicious! The crew put in a huge effort to get us in the water as many times as possible - we swam with 5 different whale sharks on our tour!   Such an amazing day, seeing the whale sharks up close was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. We were lucky enough to swim with 3 or 4 of these incredible animals. When you first see them through your snorkel they are breathtaking. The crew do everything to make sure you have the best day locating the whale sharks and swimming safely near them. They were extremely knowledgeable & approachable. The trip included lovely food and drink, we were also very fortunate to see lots of whales and even a manta ray on the return trip. Special thanks to the lovely Niamh / Neve (apologies if the spelling is wrong ) who took me under her wing and supported me through the swims as I’m not the most confident swimmer. You made my day extra special ! If you are wondering whether to do this trip do it !! The whole team at Three Islands are fantastic
