Sofukuji Temple
Sofukuji is a Rinzai temple built in the Nanchuan architectural style of China in 1629. Daimon Gate, Daeleon Hall (The Main Hall) is designated as a National Important Cultural Property of National Treasures. All of the Vermilion gates and buildings of “Sanmon, Gohodo, Shokoro and Maso-gate” are full of spectacular colors.

5.00Yuko was the most amazing tour guide we have ever had. She took us all around the city and taught us a lot. She was one of the sweetest people we have met and truly made a big impact on us. We loved her so much and would love to keep in touch. We would 100% recommend her tour.

5.00An absolutely brilliant tour with just the right balance of history, culture, food and sightseeing. Akiko was the best guide of our 2 weeks in Japan and as an amazing bonus, her Mum joined us at the Peace Park to give us the benefit of her local knowledge. Going to the Nagasaki epicentre and museum was a really emotional experience and it ended beautifully with Akiko teaching us how to make origami cranes. Only 999 more to go 😊. An excellent day with two excellent women. Highly recommended.

5.00My family and I had a wonderful experience in Nagasaki. Our guide, Akiko, was amazing, sweet, knowledgeable, and courteous. She was very flexible with the sites we wanted to see. I would totally recommend this tour.
If you don't know what to do with your free time, try this tour.

3.00Akiko was very nice and spoke english very well. We are a well traveled couple and we don't usually do tours like this but we thought "what the heck" let's try it!. Nagasaki has a lot of history and a lot of good food! With that said, we enjoyed Akiko's company but we feel like we could have done this tour on our own. We visited a temple and spent some time walking down the shopping street. I mentioned that if she knew of a place along the way where I could buy a souvenir ornament that would be cool. Akiko (bless her heart) made it a mission to help me find one and so we wasted time on that for a bit. The tour was good for us but it could be great for others. I'd give it a try if you've got time on your hands. We did not find an ornament during the tour but Akiko found a little one and delivered it to our hotel later that day. Isn't that cute?!

5.00Our tour guide Masaaki was very accommodating in that he asked if we had any preferences. He suggested an itinerary that we were happy with. We went up the cable car to the highest view point in Nagasaki & he pointed out a lot of land marks & sights of interest. Also visited the Chinese & Japanese Buddhist temples & the Spectacles Bridge & told us a lot of information & stories. At end of trip took us to a large shopping mall. We got around all these places by hopping on buses. He spoke very good English & we understood him. Well done Masaaki!

The Atomic Bomb Museum, Hypocentre Park, and the Peace Park were special and your explanations very valuable. The Ropeway to Mt Inasa was a bonus, particularly on such a beautiful day. 5.00Tomi was fantastic and showed us places that we would never have seen if we were by ourselves. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We would definitely recommend Tomomi for your guide! We did a LOT of walking.

5.00Our tour guide, Masaaki, was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He spontaneously added some sights that we were interested in, such as the Peace Park and Museum. He gave us a tour of Mt. Inasa on a clear, sunny day when we could see for miles. He also gave comprehensive background on the temple visits, walk down the shopping arcade, and meganebashi. We learned lots of interesting history of Nagasaki and would highly recommend his service. We also learned how to take the bus and tram. This tour was a great value!
