• Perfect daytrip to Waiheke

  We originally booked this tour as an easy way to visit some wineries on a daytrip from Auckland. However, it was WAY more than that. From the moment we were greeted off the ferry to the farewell, it was a great day out. Our guide Simon took us to see more of the island than just the wineries. As a local, it was great to get his pets of life on Waiheke. We would absolutely love to go back.

  We loved our bus driver. However, I think I was sold a different tour. The group was mostly made up of people from a cruise ship. Nothing against cruise ships, but it made our group very large. Not my idea of a private tour. The time allocated for the venues seemed ill planned. We spent way too much time at the olive oil tasting venue, Alpresso. ( by the way, the description says it is Olive tasting, buyer beware. We were so looking forward to olive tasting, which is very big in this area. Sadly there were no olives) During our last wine tasting, we basically had to sip and slug so that the cruise people could get back in time. Lunch was delicious, but I would hardly say that one glass of wine constituted, a wine tasting. Although the beach was beautiful, and the little tour through town was nice, in the interest of time management it could have been skipped or shortened.

  Well done and beautiful vineyards. Tour includes a delicious lunch at one of the stops. Loved climbing up the hill at Mudbrick to see the views and the beautiful horses.

  Wonderful tour & great tour guide (Kai)! Make sure you get a clarification on where you are to meet the group going on the ferry. We had a 10:15 meet-up & were there at 9:30. Never did find the group, but Fuller 360 (ferry) helped us. We sent messages that weren’t answered to find out where to meet. We did finally find the group on Waiheke Island & had a great time.

  Outstanding!! Great way to spend the day enjoying the island! So much more than lunch and wine tasting. Easy and fun learning, casual day, but not too long. Only concern was not understanding that we needed to be on a ferry before 1015 and without the tour guide.

  It is a must when in Auckland, so Make sure you do it!! The Commentary was very informative & friendly.

  This was a spectacular tour! The info on meeting point was not good & we missed the ferry we were supposed to take. But an employee of the operator (Hashem) resolved our problem & arranged to get us caught up with our tour. The staff on Waiheke Island met us and quickly connected us with our driver and the rest of the group quickly. We missed nothing of the tour, visited the wineries & olive oil presser. And had a spectacular lunch at Batch winery. I would take this tour again if I could. Kudos to the local operator for the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. They turned a problem into a great experience!

  It was a pleasant tour. Fairly typical of wine tours were you had three tastings from local wineries. Nice wines, but just not available outside of the region without going through shipping challenges. The meal was adequate. Best part of tour was scenery stops to include the view at Mudbrick winery. It was very beneficial to book the tour in advance that included the ferry boat. Weather was going bad and we did not have to wait for our ride back to Auckland like the Walk up folds.

  Beautiful island, scenic views, great lunch. Rating wine is hard because everyone's palate is different. A note to the tour operator and viator. I suggest stating very clearly in the meeting point section that the QR code on the viator ticket includes the ferry ride to the island. And that tour guests will meet the guide on the island and not at the Quay Terminal. The information is available, yet you have to drill down to retrieve it.
