Water Puppetry is a traditional art form with distinctive culture identity of Vietnam. It came into existence, developed and diversified over a thousand years ago in the Red River Delta. Thanks to unique performances on the water, this puppetry art is famous and highly appreciated all over the world.
In early days, water puppetry showed the daily life of villagers such as farming, fishing, romance and children playing. Now, the topics of the plays are also picked from ancient legends, myths and historic stages.

Show was good but the operator overbooks seats

3.00We bought the VIP (front row) seats for the family but the operator overbooked the seats and we end up in the middle to back area. I saw some people sitting on the steps. Although the show was good the overbooking took some of the enjoyment away for me. Viator got us a prompt refund for the difference in seat types.

4.00Show itself is very unique, recommended as a cultural experience. Arrangement to get the ticket is messy though, you need to talk to another non ticket office person to get the ticket 5 min before the show. And at the time we got the ticket and get seated the show already started for a few minutes . Also you are paying premium for "skipping the line". Though , it is worth it as it is quite popular and at the time we arrived the theatre the tickets for whole day and next day was almost all gone.

5.00The show is great. Nice blend of music lighting and puppets. You get to know about local life. Any seat is fine. Don’t chase VIP seats.

2.00Show itself was fine, but certainly not a must see. Recommend only if you have spare time or want a planned 50-min sitting break. Even then, 100% do not recommend booking here - I paid $13 in this app and received tix at the box office with a price printed on them of $5.69. More than 2x the price and I still had to wait to pick up the tickets? I can understand some convenience charge… but that was ridiculous. Overall, could take it or leave it.

4.00Very interesting. Could have had more information behind the translation. Also would need to have Electronic Payment methods for tourists at the audio translation counter please. Didn’t have Cash and there was no sign saying Cash Only
Missed the show, stuck in traffic, no exchange, no exceptions

4.00I got stuck in traffic 3 hours before the show and could not make it. They made no exception to exchange my ticket, they said I had to do it 5 hours in advance......I was stuck for over 5 hours. I'm sorry I missed the show. They were very kind about informing me no exception...which is why I gave 4 stars. I hear the show is wonderful.

2.00I recently attended a show at Lotus and was seated in the VIP section. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply affected by an incident that felt discriminatory. An Asian officer approached me to check my ticket, while completely ignoring the other guests around me, who happened to be white. As a non-white customer, I felt unfairly singled out and embarrassed in front of others for no reason. So unprofessional of him. This behavior is unacceptable and completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening. I came to enjoy the show, not to be made to feel like I didn’t belong. I hope management takes this seriously, addresses this issue with their staff, and ensures that all guests are treated with equal respect and dignity. Until this is properly handled, I can’t recommend Lotus Water show to others who value fairness and inclusivity.

5.00Entertaining puppet show performed on water with a 9 piece support band. Very involved story so would highly recommend the audio guide for the English translation. Very effective air-conditioning..

5.00Very nice and interesting show, an overview of Vietnamese traditions and culture. Excellent anxge the organization of Trpadvisor , at the entrance we found the tickets already detached for us Not to be missed
