Lempuyang Temple
Lempuyang Temple, also known as Pura Lempuyang Luhur, is one of Bali’s most revered and iconic temples, known not only for its spiritual significance but also for its breathtaking views and famous “Gates of Heaven.” Lempuyang Temple is located on the eastern side of Bali, Indonesia, in the village of Seraya. It sits on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang, which is one of Bali’s sacred mountains and has an elevation of about 1,175 meters (3,858 feet). The temple is part of a larger temple complex consisting of several temples scattered along the slopes of the mountain. The entire complex is dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal gods in Hinduism, and serves as a spiritual site for Balinese Hindus.
