It was worth the time and the experience was very good at Hobbiton. Our rides to and from were the hotel were good and in comfortable van though our driver was very hard to understand so whatever he said became background noise. He let us waited in the van while he spent time catching up with his friends.

Fun and interesting trip to the Hobbit movie set. We learned a lot about the making of the movies. Location is beatuiful. One downside was the ride from Auckland. 14 people in a van with minimal commentary from the guide.

It was a long day from Auckland to Hobbiton return but our guide Dave was full of information about the country side we were driving through which made the trip fly by. Hobbiton was well worth the visit, especially for fans of LOTR / Hobbit movies.

Excellent experience!!! A must do in New Zealand. Have a drink at The Green Dragon Inn. The meat pies are delicious
