5.00Excellent tour and information. It is set up to be able to see what the living conditions would have been like on the ship and how those on this ship differed from many others that transported destitute and starving Irish to North America that had different owners. And yet it still was harrowing and unimaginable. Well worth it and only takes 1-1/2 hours and is across the from the equally excellent and even more immersivd EPIC Museum. Highly recommend both.

5.00Amazing storytelling and displays on board a "coffin ship" - great guide told history of the famine, emigration to US and Canada and how the special captain and doctor on this ship avoided the deaths so common on all the other ships.

5.00Although the subject is obviously depressing, the famine is such an important part of the story of Ireland (and the United States), that we had to visit. And, (no spoilers) there are some bright spots in the story of the Jeanie Johnston. The ship was very impressive to see and the tour was well thought out and very informative.

5.00Our Tour guide was very friendly and sincere in the information that she shared. You really got to see and feel how special and important this ship was to the Irish people. The ship is clean and well maintained and there are little surprises around every corner. Near the Epic Museum which we wish we had time for.

5.00Fantastic tour! Our guide, Steve, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave a brief description of the famine which helped you understand the state of the country and why this ship was so helpful during this time. The ship, though a replica, was really neat to see and imagine what life might’ve been like. Tour lasted about an hour. Highly recommend.
