The hike to La Fortaleza de Ansite is a 650-meter trail with a 40-meter elevation gain, featuring uneven terrain and a short elevated section, which can be bypassed if needed; the entire route takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including two light walks into the ravine under 1 km each.
Restrooms are available at Santa Lucía de Tirajana, La Caldera Restaurant, and in Arinaga, where you can also purchase snacks or local products; no restrooms are available at La Fortaleza or Barranco de Las Vacas.
All tours are led by certified professional guides, ensuring a safe and knowledgeable experience throughout the activity.
The activity is limited to groups of 20 people, allowing participants to share a vibrant group dynamic and enjoy the hike together.
Weather conditions can vary, so it’s recommended to wear layered clothing; the guide may modify the activity based on weather, terrain, or participant needs.
The route includes winding roads, so those prone to motion sickness should consider bringing appropriate medication
Children under 12 must meet the minimum recommended age of 5 years, and parents or guardians are required to accompany minors; a maximum of 4 child spots are available per tour, and special seating requests must be made 2 days in advance.
Sandals, strollers, drones, alcohol, drugs, and aerosols are not allowed, and participants are expected to respect the environment by using designated bins for waste and refraining from eating or drinking inside the vehicle.
It is important to bring comfortable sportswear, hiking shoes, a backpack, sunscreen, raincoat, light food, 1.5 liters of water, and a swimsuit with a towel and spare dry clothes if you plan to swim at the last stop.

The first stop at a viewpoint will allow us to enjoy impressive views of the Caldera de Tirajana.
Santa Lucia de Tirajana
We will begin the day by visiting this charming town of white houses among palm trees, which has a long history associated with olive cultivation and beekeeping. There you can learn some of the stories about the ancient inhabitants of the area that are still latent in its streets and people. In addition, we will visit a business in the village where you can find KM 0 products and wonderful handicrafts to buy as souvenirs.

5.00We had a wonderful tour with Angelica. She was very knowledgable and charismatic. We were able to see a number of sites, including the famous cave dwellings of the ancient local people. We would highly recommend this tour because it is a great way to see and learn more about the island beyond just the beaches and resorts.

5.00We originally decided on this tour as it was the only one available at the time with pick up from Las Palmas - however we were so glad that we did! It was a lovely day with a small group (just 5 of us) and our wonderful guide Angelica, whose enthusiasm and energy were infectious. We learned a lot about the pre-Spanish history of the island, saw some great views of of the mountains and visited some fascinating sites. The walking sections were gentle with a few rocky steps and easily acheivable for most. The tasting of local fruit, preserves, sauces and liquers in a family shop was a nice touch and a light lunch was provided. Last stop was a quiet town beach away from the resorts. Would recommend if you want a gentle day seeing some of the interior of the island and getting a feel of the history and culture. If you get car sick you might consider motion sickness tablet or sweets - as there are a lot of twisty mountain roads - but nothing too challenging.

5.00Very very good day! Angelica was so informative and knew so much about canarian history. Except the bus where the airco was not working well enough and it was a very hot day, it was a tour to remember.
