The hike to La Fortaleza de Ansite is a 650-meter trail with a 40-meter elevation gain, featuring uneven terrain and a short elevated section, which can be bypassed if needed; the entire route takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including two light walks into the ravine under 1 km each.
Restrooms are available at Santa Lucía de Tirajana, La Caldera Restaurant, and in Arinaga, where you can also purchase snacks or local products; no restrooms are available at La Fortaleza or Barranco de Las Vacas.
All tours are led by certified professional guides, ensuring a safe and knowledgeable experience throughout the activity.
The activity is limited to groups of 20 people, allowing participants to share a vibrant group dynamic and enjoy the hike together.
Weather conditions can vary, so it’s recommended to wear layered clothing; the guide may modify the activity based on weather, terrain, or participant needs.
The route includes winding roads, so those prone to motion sickness should consider bringing appropriate medication
Children under 12 must meet the minimum recommended age of 5 years, and parents or guardians are required to accompany minors; a maximum of 4 child spots are available per tour, and special seating requests must be made 2 days in advance.
Sandals, strollers, drones, alcohol, drugs, and aerosols are not allowed, and participants are expected to respect the environment by using designated bins for waste and refraining from eating or drinking inside the vehicle.
It is important to bring comfortable sportswear, hiking shoes, a backpack, sunscreen, raincoat, light food, 1.5 liters of water, and a swimsuit with a towel and spare dry clothes if you plan to swim at the last stop.

We will begin the day by visiting this charming town of white houses among palm trees, which has a long history associated with olive cultivation and beekeeping. There you can learn some of the stories about the ancient inhabitants of the area that are still latent in its streets and people. In addition, we will visit a business in the village where you can find KM 0 products and wonderful handicrafts to buy as souvenirs.

5.00What can I say? I came to the island looking for adventure, to explore its natural beauty, and, importantly for me, get an authentic insight into the real Gran Canaria. With Celeste and Angelica I got exactly that. Super friendly, knowledgable, and passionate about the island, history and culture. And what they were doing. They knew their stuff, from pick up, to driving the winding roads up into the mountains, and inspiring us all with their stories about the island and its history throughout the day. Many highlights, couldn’t pick one, even Celeste’s music taste was a treat. And her driving skills. Many thanks to you both, as well as the rest of the team, and the various locals involved along the way who warmly welcomed, fed and treated us. Great experience, highly recommend.

5.00Well organized day trip to the South East of Gran Canaria. The guides Angelica and Celeste took us via a beautiful route to the mountain town of Santa Lucia (tasting of local specialties), climbed (no worries, not difficult) with us to La Fortaleza (beautiful views and explanations about the Guanchen), guided us through the Barranco de Vacas (spectacular rock formation) and finally to the resort of Arinaga (swimming in a natural pool or walking on the beautiful promenade).

The tasting and lunch were delicious! Small nice troupe and you don't feel like on a typical touri... only recommended!
