Muralla de Toledo

Toledo has had a wall from the Romans, which had to be rebuilt by the Visigoth King Wamba in 674. The current wall is of Arab origin where we can find some Roman remains. King Alfonso VI, is granted the completion of the works of the wall in 1085, after reconquering the city. Toledo has always had a great wall, well known throughout its history, taking center stage its entrance and exit doors, such as the Puerta de Bisagra, the Puerta de Alfonso VI or the Puerta del Cambrón.

The Plaza de Zocodover is a square of the city of Toledo. It was the nerve center of the city during most of its history, acting as its main square. A part of it was designed by Juan de Herrera in times of the reign of Felipe II

Awesome experience! Toledo is full of so much history, culture, beautiful architecture, and beautiful landscape! Arantxa was a wonderful tour guide! She made it such a good experience with her cheerful attitude and her extensive knowledge of Toledo.

Great experience with Arantxa. Toledo is a beautiful city with a deep history. Arantxa enjoyed sharing the history of the city and the art. We enjoyed visiting the monuments and the free time to get lunch and explore for a few minutes on our own as well.

It was a really cold and rainy day when we left Madrid but the warmth of our guide Arantxa made all the difference in the trip to Toledo. Not only did she give us great commentary about the history of the town, cathedrals and the synagogue we visited, she gave great recommendations for meals and gifts. And as the day wore on, the sun came out and made the visit even more pleasant. My wife and I really enjoyed our day out with her and the rest of the group. Highly recommended!

The tour was informative and fun! Our guide Arantxa was very friendly, outgoing, and fluent in many languages. She showed us the best places to eat and helped the group feel like a family from the moment we stepped on the bus. Would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys historical Spanish sites and spending time with fellow travelers.

Length of visit was just right. Group size was cosy too. Our guide, Arantxa was friendly and provided good tips. The place was beautiful.

Loved the tour with our guide Aranxta. She has a deep knowledge of history of the city ans shares a lot of stories. Furthermore, she's very friendly, pleasant anf funny. Highly recommend this tour in this magnificent city.

Loved the beautiful walled city of Toledo, especially the Cathedral and Synagogue. It was great having the tour bus circle the outside of the city after we toured inside the walls. Beatriz was a terrific guide—knowledgeable and fun!

We had a beautiful day trip to Toledo! The bus driver Raphael did a fantastic job. Our tour guide Beatrice was helpful and informative, giving us all the fun facts and answering any questions we had. This was our second day tour with Beatrice as our guide and both times were amazing. The Cathedral of Toledo was breathtaking and is one that requires extra time. Find a local spot to get some local dishes after and finish with some shopping! All in all it was a wonderful day and we would highly recommend it.
