Meet your guide in Tromsø and board the minibus for your Arctic adventure. After a briefing on the weather and route, we’ll head out in search of the Northern Lights. The guide will share insights about the Aurora, local wildlife, and history.
We monitor the forecast to find the best location, even if it means heading to Finland. At the viewing spot, enjoy hot drinks, snacks, and, if possible, a bonfire (weather-dependent). Thermal suits are available to keep you warm.
Your guide will take professional photos of you with the Northern Lights. Photos are uploaded the next day.
After the tour, we’ll drop you off at Tromsdalen, Reinen, Tromsø Island, or Kvaløysletta. If your accommodation is elsewhere, we'll help arrange a taxi.

This is a small-group, outdoor tour tailored especially to explore the Arctic nature while you are hunting for the Northern Lights. The main purpose is to give you the best chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis by traveling away from city light pollution. Position yourselves under cloud free skies to experience the wild Arctic nature. You will be picked up by your local guides in the city center and start the tour by heading towards beautiful mountains, fjords, and valleys. There will be many stops on the way to take photos of the unique and search for the lights. Where your tour goes depends on the weather conditions, sometimes this is as far as to the Finnish and Swedish border to find the right conditions for the lights. Travel in small groups to create a special, cozy atmosphere. This also makes the tour more flexible. You will be provided with insulated overalls, snacks, and hot drinks. Your guide will take photos on the tour and share them with you after the trip.

Spectacular lights show and great hosts

5.00Despite the freezing cold temperatures, we had a fantastic evening and the Northern Lights gave us a dazzling display! We were lucky to witness the lights across the sky within a short time, but we were driven to a few further locations to witness them again (as well as having hot drinks, biscuits & toasted marshmallows!) Stina and her partner (can't remember his name so apologies) were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great time. Excellent experience and I recommend the minibus tour with Polar Adventures.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with Polar Adventures. We didn't manage to see the aurora on our first night, but they gave us a discount for a second trip with them and it was amazing. Stina and Socrates were friendly and helpful and they knew all the cool spots for aurora watching. Thank you for a magical experience!

4.00Vanessa was a great tour guide. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. Her knowledge and expertise was brilliant and she made the whole trip fun and entertaining. We saw the Northern Lights which was amazing, even though there was a lot of cloud at first, the sky did eventually open up enough. Such a magical and unforgettable experience. My only gripe was the 'snacks' offered were minimal and not quite what we were expecting. A few jaffa cakes and cookies. The hot chocolate is weak and very sugary, but a hot drink of any kind is very welcome in the cold. My advice is to take your own snacks as you do spend most of the time in the minibus travelling. We couldn't stop in one area because there were too many other tour buses already there. It's just small pull-in areas off the main road. Saying all that, we did eventually find a spot to stop, even though it wasn't a planned stop and we did manage to see the Northern Lights there. I would recommend this trip because we did see the Lights. I'm think I would have felt very disappointed if we hadn't seen anything.

5.00Hans Erik and Leila were great guides. Very friendly, told us many things about Tromsø and the auroras. They cared a lot about finding places to see the auroras and were very attentive that we were all fine. Hot chocolate breaks and marshmallows at the stake were a plus that came in super well! And the pictures that Hans Erik made us a 10!

5.00Despite the rainy weather our tour guide Hans Eric took us to different locations to chase the northern lights and in our 2nd spot we were able see some good aurora. Huide Hans Eric was really knowledgeable and entertaining. we had a very memorable and fun time with the group.

5.00Amazing experience, super receptive staff, Socrates and a polite guide, leaves all information clear, the driver and staff friendly and polite. Great snacks service since our arrival. It's a pity not to have appeared to Aurora boreal so clearly, but I highly recommend Enterprise
